I feel for you man,
links arent working for me,
wouldnt matter anyhow I dont know anything about duals
always thought, The last thing I need is another added part on my rig to break and need fixing.

rear diff? easy swap

I think you need 60s mike,
just cant figure out why you keep killin diffs
Only thing ican guess is the weight of a runner and large tires.
seems like scotty has killed a few also
maybe throw a tundra rear in there

Dingman.

I dont have money for any new axles.  Ive taken it really easy on this diff too.  :(

86bobbedtoy

swap the diffs out and wait,
as to the case problem, no clue here
someone should be able to point out the problem

:nonono:  Now  right that down and tape it to your dash .  So when you get it fixed  and you are out wheeling next time    you can remember that you did not even want to touch your POS .

IronClad

case popping out would probably be a detent spring is worn out. you can just pull it out and stretch it a bit and put it back in.  Your shifters are doing that because either you didnt trim the rails or didnt trim them enough.

IMO anyway

Dingman.

Yes that diff was open and setup to spec at my work.
The pattern was good, solid pinion spacer and setup everything to spec

IronClad

start putting them together tighter than spec ! and then maybe they will survive =P   toyota diffs like to survive when they are

I really figured the reason i kept destroying them is because i bought a lot of them used, but this one was new gears, but used bearings that visually inspecting showed no signs of any extreme wear, as in no pitting, etc. And it was setup to spec.  :dunno:

I have a stock 4.56 diff in my parts runner but i need to talk to kasey on when i can go grab it, this is what i will be running until i can figure out what im gonna do.  My thoughts are for about 150 i can have another set of 5.29s in my truck in under a week.  That will give me the option to go wheeling now, and i really want to go camping an :pokinit:, havent gone once this summer.

Yes i could chalk it up to vehicle mantianance that i have to spend about 200 every few months it seems like, and be done until octoberish..   but be able to go places now.

Or i can say f- it and run a stock 4.56 rear, have 2wd for a long time and starting saving for some axles i wont break.. or at least wont break as easily.

Dingman.

Matt came over today and helped pull my rear case, and trim both shift rails, no more problems with one case knocking the other one out.  Hopefully my cases will be trouble free for quite some time.  :fingerscrossed:

Thanks again Matt.
