What it the grill cover for? Please don't tell me that it gets so cold that you need to restrict air flow? Forgive me, I live in California. We don't have cold here.

I've seen them on the ice road truckers show.  But even living in Montana I never saw one being used.

I like the light bar recessed in the bumper, but it will probably get destroyed when you hit something.

i had one on my old ford in alaska. if i didnt in the winter it would run crazy because the engine temp would fluctuate too much cause when the thermostat opened it would get sub freezing coolant and cause excessive strain on parts from heating and cooling and it helped the heater work better.

pumkin toy

yes the grill cover is for cold weather.  as far as the light bar getting destroyed, those rigid lights are tough as hell!  im sure it is possible to destroy it, depending on what you hit and how you hit it. but Im pretty sure that if the lightbar got hit hard enough to possibly damage it, the mounting brackets would break first and allow the lightbar to move instead of smash.

I made this swing out tire carrier. I added a BBQ holder so I could use my tailgate for prep while the BBQ was close.

that is pretty cool.  I have thought about making my runner an ultimate tailgater, speakers in the back, pull the top off and enjoy but a grill would just top it off.

Yeah I know, Im not real good on taking pictures of the junk I build. I need to get on that. All of the tabs, gussets, brakets & mounts Ive always cut out with my plasma by hand. Now I have a 5'x10' TM2 and im really enjoying it. The next buggy will have some cool stuff.

I had a welder friend help me build it. Still not sure if I like it but it's slowly growing on me.

It looks good, I woulda personally not gone so thick/tall, just to avoid so much overhang.  Otherwise, solid tried and true design
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

Thanks, I agree about the height. It is 10" tall and 7 or 8 would be plenty. Gotta give credit though, it's all bent out of one piece except for the winch plate and the ends. Dudes got skills.

TRDevelopment

Would love to see more rear bumper builds. Trying to get some ideas on a build of my own.
