haha its not expanded. its a piece of 3/16 perforated 16 gauge. i had a piece at work that just happened to be cut to the exact size of my front hanger

That's what I ment. There is a million styles of perforated/ expanded metal.

Yeah man. Those threaded legs are a great idea. Here is my ghetto fire pit. Gas tank skid plate, u-bolts, and a couple spare tire braces cut in half for legs. Not really "fabrication" so much, just a good use of scrap.

i used 4" square 1/4" wall (since i am a rookie ) i found out later that that was too wide. so i did this.
