the springs are still breaking in, nope no bindage on the shocks!

springs compress to flat and drop as far as the shackle will allow!!  Maybe i will pull the rear shocks off and test it out, they dont seem to be binding at all though...

here are a couple playing at the pit today...

you are right about the rear springs binding....when you articulate the rear axle the springs twist and bind on themselves. johnny joint shackles are the way to go! they will free everything up and eliminate a huge ammount of the binding. all-poo sells them but all-poo sucks, i know summitracing.com sells the joint you would need to make the JJ shackle hanger yourself http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CUR%2DCE9110&N=700+115&autoview=sku

Thats right, the spings are twisting alot..... i wanted to put the JJ's on in the first place but didnt have the money, now i wish i would have done it right off the bat!!!  But no biggy, i'll have to get a set and i bet they will get a few more inches of flex for sure!! thanx for the link as well!!!  :beerchug:

thanks for the compliments!  Well little update:
I swapped out my boomerangs for 4.5'' straight shackles in the front and what a difference!! I had a intermittent DEATH WOBBLE from 30-40 mph.... after installing these the wobble is GONE and i gained way more flex!  I forklift flexed it at the shop and had 40 inches to the rear tire before the other rear left the concrete!!  I'm thinkin about pulling the leaf i added in the back to begin with out and making heim shackle mounts on the frame..... First week of April I will be getting those parts and ordering 5.29's and 2 aussie lockers

I am also going to pull my front pack apart, tear out three leafs and add one higher rate leaf to lower my flip plate to increase up travel and eliminate bumpstop bottoming out when i hit stuff over 5-6 mph..... think i can get away with the 14's up front but i might switch to 12's for more up travel.... but the way my springs are now they are very close to using ALL of the drop on the shocks!!!  soo.... stay tuned for more updates at the end of the month! I turn 22 on the 31st so i will post some wheeling pics the next day!

I am also going to start working on my 82 sr5 2wd.... thinking about prerunner status........ or bags? but i'm more of an offroad guy so leaning towards the prerunner!

Well I've made my decision.....

Detriot/yukon 5.29's/solid spacer/HD pinion seal/triple drilled flange in the REAR
                                      +   Aussie/yukon 5.29's/solid spacer/HD pinion seal/triple drilled flange in the FRONT
= $1650 (approx)

This will happen within the first two weeks of April.... after that the front axle is going bling bling  :bling:  with Bobby Long 30 Splines and Chromo Hub gears........

I really need the gears and if I am going that deep I want a detriot out back and dont have cash for ARB or Elocker upfront so an Aussie shall sufice!

Let me know what you guys think!   :beerchug:

well little update: Passed both classes this quarter; A- and an A..... stoked about that!  Been wheelin the toy off and on when i get the time, thing just kicks ass!!  But I need the lockers soon.....  I set the correct preoload on the front wheel bearings yesterday and rotated the tires.... bearings had a little movement but not bad!  Rides ALOT smoother, I am in need of tires big time, they are worn and some what out of round at certain times and the rubber is coming off in CHUNKS so.... if ANYBODY has a decent set of anything from 37's to 40's that they might want to make partial trade/cash or whatever let me know!  If nothing comes up soon then I am going to get a set of 5 at least 38'' or more on credit and need to figure out what the hell to get!

yeah..... it will be less and less daily driving with it once May rolls around and I can drive my 82 2wd as the DD!!  I really want Iroks..... 39.5's are SPENDY though...... hhhmmmmmmmmm........ too many choices.....

At the same time though if I go anything larger than a 37 I am going to have to tub my bed and my front fender wells as well.... its gonna happen sooner or later though!  And along with that comes the 30 spline longs and chromo hub gears..... I love this money pit!!! HAHA!    :beerchug:

Can ANYONE tell me HOW to change my TC Poll or get rid of it???
