got my spring packs finished up and put together, lots of stuff torched off, just need to finish the torsion bars and brackets, everything painted..... shooting for 109 inch wheelbase but we will see what it comes out to (i'm building it to my drivelines)........ I am floppin' tired now, lots of hard work!!!

Well damn I made a damn good dinner last night... big bottle of TWISTED MERLOT, Garlic Shrimp Spagetti (my own recipe) and Garlic bread! To top it off  a couple Swishers

Going to finish my toy today, I will post more pics tonight, might be late though~ I need to do a clutch in a Dodge Stealth and I dont want to make the boss mad by working on only my when he is letting me use the shop even though he said it was alright... I can read people very well!! today IS FINALLY THE DAY!!!

well I got alot of progress today... but they put me on a few jobs in between for letting me use the shop and sent me on a service call... BUT the rears are INSTALLED and I didnt have to shorten my frame at all!! It takes a load of time to do everything right, I wanted to be driving it today but I have to be patient... I've waited this long so whats another day or two?? enjoy some pics!

THANX!  I took alot of time on the rear to make sure it was aligned right.... tacked the front hangers and had to adjust them each twice but it measures up perfect!! shackle angle worked out just right too!

yes it takes time... i have school till 1:45 then go to work ..... depending on the amount of vehicles in the shop I might be able to get on with the front and at LEAST have it rolling tonight!!!

yeah it sucks... i'm getting hauled around now cuz thats my only ride.... but i will have it fully driveable tomorrow and be able to go out to the Juniper dunes or head up to Royal and take it up on the saddle mountain to crawl around on the rocks and break the suspension in!!!  I cant wait, I havent had 4wd since December 07....... that is WAY too long!

Hey, my buddy has a surging/rough idle, and we've looked into almost everything. What is that IAC valve, and where is it at on the truck? Where did you get yours and how much?

The IAC or Auxilary Air Valve is mounted directly under the throttle body. It has two small coolant lines on it, I picked mine up for $165 but I get my parts at cost!!  Does it run rough and surge ALL the time? or mostly when the brake pedal is applied???

On another note, this is going to be a sick build up man. I like the truck a lot. Looks like you got all the goodies to get it done right.

Thanx man! I do too! IO bought it in 2005 with 133500 miles on it for $3500..... Great buy!  I've been planning this build for a long time, I'm sure everyone's getting sick of me talk about it but when they see the finished product they will be in awe!  Ive got about.......... $3000-$3500 into all of my SAS parts that I have been collecting for over 2 years now!

Lookin good man. The dunes are always a blast. Are you going to box in the end of the frame rails. There is a lot of pressure on the shackles just to leave the frame and open C like that. Just my

Thanx! It took me about 4 hours to set it up...... its right on the money though!!!!!! I got my front hanger on the front of my yota tonight and tacked up and cut the holes for my rear shackles... just have to align the tubes tomorrow and weld it up then she will be sittin on that pretty front axle!!!! I will have poser flex pics up tomorrow evening for sure!!!! I am really happy with the way this thing is turning out! Im really glad that I took so much time researching and planning/collecting parts!!! WHEELING PICS THIS WEEKEND!!

pictures kind of suck but it was alot of good progress!! I will have it on the front end with the steering hooked up tomorrow!! FLEX PICS COMING UP!!!  Those 64'' chevies are floppin sweet!! plus the rears upfront custom packed.... 14'' travel bilsteins..... 5.5'' and 6'' shackles.... hell yeah!

thanx bud!  Ir sucks not having my truck for a few days but it WILL be DONE for SURE on THURSDAY! Maybe tomorrow.... we will see! I am not pushing it!! Has to be my daily driver for at least 5 months!

Loving this build and it seems to me it's moving along quite well, I guess you'd be keen to hit the trails after no 4WD for over a year though. How much did you have to move the hangers forward to fit the 64's in the rear?

Also I noticed in your pics you still had the IFS Aisin hubs... do you want to sell them? I need a set for mine to replace the ADD's

Thanx eMOJO!  Yeah i'll sell em to you, they have about 60-70k on them, in great shape!!! Make me a decent offer. 

Well I moved my hanger forward around 5-6 inches and the rear back around 5-6 inches allowing me to use my stock rear driveline with dual cases!  My wheel base is 112'' now..... little bit longer than I was shooting for but thats cool cuz I might not have to bob my bed much if at all!  But I am going to shave the out of my bed (possibly tub it) and shave the front fenders and bumper!!

The front hanger is all welded up and the shackle tubes are tacked in, she is sittin on the front axle now and my hysteer is hooked up too!  Tomorrow my welder is finishing up my hangers and we are setting up my shock hoops, box the rear of the frame, install the steering stabilizer and front driveline.  After all the welds are done and bumpstops are set up I'm installing fuel tank, steam/pressure washing the frame and painting the frame hammered black.  After that the bed is going on to see how much I need to shave the fender wells.  Then all I have to do is fill up the front diff, install my red extended brake lines when they show up on friday, bleed the brakes, install quick release mud flaps and take her for a test drive!!
