yep, the bed is going back on as soon as i get the rear shocks set up and box the frame.....
I cant set the front shocks up untill i swap the 48'' springs under the front.... the 92 rears are a tad too long but thats a piece of cake!
What sucks is that i have to do an inframe rebuild on a CAT engine.... 3100 series I believe, got the cylinders honed and I'm cleaning the block up. That takes some time! THen roll the mains in, install rings and measure end gap, intall on pistons, install pistons and rod bearings/caps.... and hopefully get the head back on today!

Then I got my brake lines and bushings so I can set those up and throw the 48s on the front, flex her out again and mount the front shocks! I will get the fuel tank back in tonight hopefully and if not the bed tonight then tomorrow!

you might have to do what i did on mine I cut some not alot but SOME of the body mount where it was hitting there is a pict of it on my buldup and it works out very good and it kept the shackle mount from hitting the body mount sounds kinda like whats going on in your case

i cant use the 48's cuz they will move my axle forward and i cant have that........ all i did today was work on the inframe rebuild on a cat 3126...... have to have it done by monday!

i already moved it about 3 inches forward, if i move it farther i have to move my steering box as well.....

You could also clearance the front cab mount to clear the shackle, then plate what is left to strengthen it.

i am 37 hours into it and all I will have her running after school tomorrow! Nice engine to do for your first inframe.... considering I have never rebuild a diesel before either. But it is good expreince and ALOT of HARD work to do it right.... rollin in the mains is real fun!

WELLL I got my brake lines on this morning before i dove into the CAT...... welded the tabs on and installed the new hardlines as well.... I NEED to have my yota done on wednesday....... I am sick of staring at my SAS'ed 92 and not being able to drive it yet! It's driving ME CRAZY!

But on a positive note the boss came in and told Larry (our rebuild KING) to take me out for STEAKS AND BEERS and give him the reciept, cover the whole bill! Sounds good considering both of us are making the shop around $30k on two builds!!
I should be in for another fat raise here pretty soon.....

I am straight time though, he wants me flat rate but I told him I'm not ready for that yet.... I hate feeling rushed! the way I work now i still beat flat rate time and make the shop hella money but do the jobs right cuz I am not rushed.... this is very good because I dont have come backs either. The boss loves me, he is giving me tuition reimbersment and paying to send me through our diesel program at the college next fall. 7 weeks on then 7 weeks off so I can work part time 7 weeks then full time 7 weeks for another two years! I'll be ASE Master certified in automotive in June and have my AAS degree then start taking diesel certs...... Lots of good experience and I get

50% off of Snap On, Matco, Mac tools! My boss was hinting around about buying me a new box yesterday.....

I am really enjoying the way things are going, I've been patient and things are finally coming back my way! $Beer Chug\'n$

yeah, the supports for the front hoops arent tacked, need to grind them but the front hoops, stablizer bracket, and rear hoop are tacked! my welder is going to finish those up tomorrow then saturday we are boxing the rear of the frame.... my hysteer is close but no way it will bind or touch! i am having to mount shackle hanger under my frame for the front and run boomerangs for the correct caster/pinion angle but thats ok.... if i want to switch to marlins springs then i already have the shackle mounts for those through the frame!

All i need after that is to weld on my rear diff armor and shock tabs, gusset the rear front spring hanger for more beef, set up my bumpstops, and throw the bed on/shave it!

things are coming together, and the CAT RUNS LIKE A floppIN CHAMP

I gained alot of respect off of that INFRAME.... feels good!

I also passed my TH200 rebuild at school on the dyno! Things are going my way but it is testing me BIG TIME!

Next Wednesday it should be driving! I am also going to get a 12inch slip for my front DL......
