TheCookieMonster

well i finially got motivated any started my flatbelly :woohoo:

some pics before i started  :flamer: old crossmember

floor before the grinder came into play

old crossmember out finially

the new one i built installed :o

chipped the rubber crap off the floor and drew  a line to follow while cutting

and then

as you can see the front of my tranny was already resting on the floor in the stock position...this happened when i swapped in the 5 speed a while back

so more  :flamer: was needed

then i jacked everything up and found this

so

some more lifting and wala

FLATBELLY :yikes: :yesnod:

still need to cut the back section of the tunnel to be able to get a driveline to that flange :ack:

then i got the crossmember all burned together :eyebrow:

more to come tommorrow :beerchug: stay tuned :moon:

its gonna be pretty tight....ill probably take it to the exhaust shop and have someone run a whole new piece to the back. there isnt very much room between the new crossmember and the floor. ill figure somethin out. hopefully i can get it all in there today. we'll see :beerchug:

toyotanner

yeah when i do my flatbelly i was like yeah im gonna take it to an exhaust shop but then i would have to put a cat on my truck and they are $$$

TheCookieMonster

i dont need a cat here ...they'll put exhaust on without it. i got more progress today im just too tired to upload pics....after drilling 16 1" holes through the frame my arms feel like rubber :thud:...ill post up tmr

TheCookieMonster

so here is some more for ya

tabs cut out and sleeves for frame cut

test fitting to get tabs in the right spot

tacked on

all welded :D

back in once again

marking spots for the holes

inside holes drilled...what a pita that was

had to lift the cab up to drill the outside holes....wasnt as bad as the inside holes...crunched my rain gutters with the tow strap :slap:

and finially..sleeves are welded

installed again...just need to get some bolts for the frame

i need to move my fuel pump back a lil ways

heres what i got for exhaust room....right around 3" in the tight spot

front shot

motor sits just right

a little close to the fan

need to cut this down

so thats what i got done for the weekend. next is all the sheet metal work

ya its probably because there are about 70 pics on that page :smack:

toyotanner

well if you need a new bed let me know.... i got a blue long bed that i bought for 100 bucks  i comp cut it and decided to go another route

TheCookieMonster

what kind of shape is it in???? does it have a tailgate??? i may be interested because my bed is pretty hammered

toyotanner

it does have a tailgate... its actually in pretty good condition. if you were to bob it it would be a damn near perfect bed because it has little surface rust spots but its on the back half.

TIMS89CRAWLER

 he needs it for sure! this one is pretty hammered on..
