some more pics of whats been happenin

this is the tube i used to put my driveline back together. there is about a 3 inch piece of it inside the driveline where welded it back together. i did this so there is more metal to weld to and to keep the d-line straight while welding. my step dad machined it for me so it slid right inside and was snug.

this is the sheet metal i picked up for 10 smackers :yesnod:

so i had to cut a little more out of the front of the tunnel because it was still hitting the top of my trans.

got some primer on it

did some more trimming to get the floor straight

got one of the sides of the tunnel tacked in

other side still needs a little trimming before it goes in

thats what got done last night hopefully some more tonite

i loosened the bolts that go into the block on the motor mounts. the rubber pieces on the mounts bearly moved at all when i jacked it up in there. retightened them when everything was in place. should work fine

Tunnel is looking good man

thanks ...it takes a lot of time. i want to be done with it already :hammerhead:

toyotanner

looking good. your making the top removable right? any ideas on how your gonna do that yet?

i'd probably put a little rubber liner across that top ridge so that the removable top of it doesnt rattle :twocents:

ya thats what i was thinking. like weather stripping or somethin along those lines. ill probably weld some flatbar to the inside of the tunnel then screw the top to that. i want it to be simple :yesnod:.

got a full exhaust put on my junk today by the local exhaust shop ....ill get some pics later on :beerchug:

TheCookieMonster

here is the driveline i picked up at pick-a-part for $25....it measures 26 1/2" flange to flange collapsed right now. my truck is about 31" from flange to flange for the front d-line. i may just extend this one a couple inches or cut the ends off and make a square one. havent decided yet :headscratch:...not sure what this driveline came out of...maybe an IFS truck :dunno:

TheCookieMonster

got 2" exhaust ran

FLATNESS :eyebrow:

it came out great...everything is above the framerails so im satisfied.

my new manual fuel pump. ive went through 2 electric pumps already so im done with those pieces of :pokinit:

my electric fan also took a crap on me  :shake:. so im gonna go back to the clutch fan for reliability
