sounds good :yesnod:....is the bed around the same place my brothers gettin that 3rd gen cab? if so we could pick them both up at the same time .....you sayin my sawzall cut is crooked :slap: :rofl2:

toyotanner

yeah its like around 5 miles away. Not saying your cuts are crooked just didnt want you to think it was jank.
If you guys came and picked them up at the same time that would be funny cause you guys would have almost a complete truck haha. cab and bed :rofl2:

some more progress pics of the flatbelly :beerchug:

so i got the 1/2 bolts in the frame. also got everything else tightened back down

also cut the rest of the tunnel out to fit the driveline

it fits quite well actually

i have about 3 inches from the horsecollar....u guys think thats enough? :dunno: it seems like it would be fine to me

side pics

got the upper hose cut down

fuel pump re-installed with a new filter before it now

i also clearenced the bottom of my heater to be able to clear the new tranny tunnel....i always have the flap on the bottom closed anyway for defrost so it didnt need to be there anyway....sawzall worked great

thats it for now...... :outtahere:

I like the x-member you built  Is the passenger seat going to bolt back in or do you have to mod that too?

thanks. yes i believe the pass. seat will go back into its spot. i may have to move it a little closer to the door but i do have a little bit of room to do that . im gonna try to keep the new tunnel i build as close as i can to the t-case so it will hopefully bolt right back in  :crossed:. the seats do sit pretty high off the floor also :yesnod:

im not sure yet...when ever i get some extra money and have enough time and fuel to make it up your way :headscratch:...are you needing to get rid of it soon :dunno:

Quote from: toyotanner on June 02, 2008, 05:23:52 PM
did you sleeve your driveline?

sort of....there is a piece of tube inside the driveline where i welded it back together...it fit inside snug but its still not balanced. its kind of a temp fix so i could keep driving it.im probably gonna cut the yokes off and get some thick tube to put the ends on to. i want to do them like 4rnRick's

TheCookieMonster

i also picked up some sheet metal today from the local scrap yard :yesnod:...i got enough for most of the tunnel for a whole 10 bucks.......hopefully ill get workin on that soon

toyotanner

okay just making sure you didnt just buttweld it back together. dont know how strong that would be haha.

as for the bed whenever you get the chance its just sitting in my garage i just want it out of my way. so whenever you have the time and $ let me know.  if you wanted too you could take off your bed and drive up here and then put it on here. just a thought so you dont have to drive a gas hog up here to pick it up.

screw building other people's trucks... build your own and let them do the same... why a sami front end and not a yota front end in the sami thats the way to roll
