ive seen a few made from sch 40 2" pipe.  i made mine fron inner reciever hitch box on the rear with the stock slip, and inner ond outer reciever box for the front.

and a good pic of both of them

Ive driven it at 50 mph, u know its back there, but its not unbearable.  i do have to keep an eye on the t-case output flange, its worked itself loose with that heavy unbalanced driveshaft.

Welp, here's a little bump for ya.

Fayetteville was hit with some pretty nasty ice / wintery mix stuff on Monday overnight through about Wednesday. I didn't have school Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, OR Friday last week. It's been terribly boring without cable or internet.

Hindsight is twenty/twenty, and I should've gone home to pay with Snoop. Oh well...

Not much new with him. Hope to wheel him soon. Word up...

Aaron said they were out of power at his place,  did you have power??

I never lost power, but we lost cable and internet. We were fortunate, but very bored...  :ack:

  Happy Belated Birthday, Snoop!!!!!
                                 :smooch:

I picked up Snoop 4 years ago yesterday (Feb. 5, 2005). He's come a long ways  :eyebrow:

I'm going home this weekend to wheel. I can't take it anymore  :hammerhead:

Who'd down for gettin' down at the park? Josh? Glen? DTB????

domino

Speaking of wheelin, how are those backwards f150s working out for you?  Noticed much axle wrap?  I've got a set of ranger leafs with the same dimensions.  They're only 2 leaf packs, but I'm thinking about adding some stock toyota rears in and running them long side forward.

They're pretty wicked. I haven't noticed any axle wrap, but then again I'm not totally sure what I'm looking for. They're still a nicely flowing "U" shape. I think when they start turning into an "S", that's axle wrap, right?

Regardless, I really like them. They flex pretty well, and the overload is a nice bumpstop of sorts. Now I just need rear shocks mounted up  :gap:

Went wheelin' this weekend at Superlift. Snoop did amazing.

Officially no longer a web wheeler - got some sweet body damage on Shaffner's Hollow. Took a harder line and roughed up the rear quarter panel and blew out the back side glass. Overall great weekend. Couple pics coming soon.

Total damage: window, small dents and scratches, blown bead?

All that work and no protection   :shake:

Well at least your on the trails.

I have another top. Not worried.

Blown bead? Nah, son. Beadlocks

I'd rather be wheelin' than fabbin'. I have Spring Break set aside for fabbin'.

Where are your trail pics?  :talkingn:    :therethere:

Jordan7118

I failed to mention that this line was totally optional. The other line to the right wouldn't have incurred any damage at all, and I could've backed down, too. I'll make note that trying harder lines will come after Snoop gets some armor.

It was fun at the time  :gap:

I am not going to go on much more then a fire road until I can get someone to go with. My buddy with a *eep went down to Mardi gras this weekend instead of showing me some trails locally. Trail pics will come in time!

Word. Don't go by yourself. I'd be uber screwed if I didn't have those guys there to pull me out. Granted, I wouldnt' have tried that line  :yikes:

Take a co-pilot, too, because it's hard to drive and take pics by yourself.

Did you try to squeese by the rock on the drivers side? Next time put the drivers front on that rock, as soon as it feels like your gonna flop turn passenger and ease onto your slider, then either straighten up or stay passenger depending on your nerve. Youll pucker the 1st time, but after you come through unscathed youll love it.

Mike blew out a REEL cv joint on in that spot. He had both tires in the undercut of those 2 rocks.

Bring it up for some armor. Heck Bring it up and wheel with us, Youll have a blast. :driving:

I was thinking about that later. I thought, "Man, what if I put my driverside tire on that big rock. I'd probably flop..."

I guess that's how ya do it.  :headscratch:

I'm planning on doing some armoring over Spring Break. Need to make sliders and bumpers. I might even bob since I've fubared the rear a little and want to do it anyways. What you think about a bob, Michael?   :dunno:

Looking good!

Thanks, Josh! Missed you this past Saturday. Will you make it for the Manager's Run March 6-8? I plan to bring some Toyota stuff to sell : >)

Probably not, due to family. I got to get my W56/Crawlbox/FROR xmember in sometime, too.

It never fails, when I need parts I have tons of time. When I get the parts, I can't find a minute to spare.  :shake_head:

Bob is good! I met him once.

Thank goodness I have friends who do body work. My bob job looked total hack, but they made it look clean. I'd be conscerned with trying to match the top, and the fiberglass work. If you don't care if it looks bling then whats it gonna hurt. You got to start somewhere, why not on this one.

I'm looking for some advice on doing a bob on Snoop.

Pros:
- Increased departure angle
    - Could even use truck tailgate and cut sideskirts for even more clearance  :eyebrow:
- Kinda like the look -looks compact
- Increased maneuverability
    - Lose a foot or more of stuff to get caught up on in the rear where I often can't see as well
Cons:
- Less storage space
   - Not really using it anyways
   - Currently trail rig
- Time
   - Would take a weekend to mod body and top

Here's a couple bobbed 'Runners I really dig

Jh3 (Josh) on TTORA, and I think JJ3 on here. Clean bob.

This guy used a truck tailgate, trimmed down the last windows in the topper, and looks to have used a lexan insert for the glass in the rear.

So, what do ya think?

PLEASE add some discussion. I'm a newb  :hammerhead:

Jordan7118

Also, I found this today.

http://www.offroad-engineering.com/sway-bars.html

If anyone were to put in some aftermarket sway bars, this would be a good way to go. End up costing around $300 or so, but if you're DD'ing, that'd be worth it for me.

I know DTB says you don't need 'em if you've set it up right, but there are people like myself who don't set their stuff up correctly  :disturbed:

yota_krawler

I like the one with the truck tail gate!!!!! thats sick lookin.

The thing with the truck tail gate is you have to come up with something for the rear window.

But both do look sweet.
