i can't tell cause there is no side shots but the winch isn't going to kill your approach angle is it?

i like how you have it protected too. nice work.

Redbeard1

With the Irok 39.5's  I belive it was said that the winch should be about 7-8 inches behind the front face of the tires.

 Nice! The winch will be behind the tires!
WAY behind the tires! Remember this is getting 40's and from some quick measurements I think its like 7"-8" behind teh face of the tires.

MiniSimp

Rick, line up those front tires again and take an arial shot

Nice, more creativity in 12" of your frame than in most full trucks!

4RnrRick

Billy (Elotsip) came over today and helped me out a bunch!!!! So tonight is going to be a big update! Thanks Billy!

Got the axle side lower link mounts re-enforced and fully welded.

And the axle side upper link mount....

Got the axle side panhard fabricated and fully welded.

4RnrRick

Frame side lower link crossmember, lower link tabs re-enforced. We also added another support for the two-piece front driveline carrier bearing. And since the front nuts for the crossmember are going to be a PITA to get to when everything is fully assemblied - I just welded the nuts to the inside of the side plates.

And as you can see we got a coat of paint on everything. Here is the flex test (without coilovers for now) and everything clears and looks good.

Also there is very little flex steer, which is another plus!

4RnrRick

I also added an internal gusset inside the frame rail near the clevis mount to help strengthen that area. Then I capped off the frame rail.

Here is how it looks now.

THK Matt

DAMN! update, FO SHO!
that thing has tight flex in front without coils.
wow.

its starting to really come together... whats next? on your list...?
hooking the steering up? and completing the axle?

Guess you can't give an honest opinion any more over there. :dunno:

MT4Runner

What gives?   :dunno:

The mods act like they were doing Rick a favor, and it makes him look like crap.  I've never seen a vendor handled with kid gloves the way TG is.   :screwy:

Looks great Rick. That is one hell of a build you're working on.

I saw you were banned on Pirate. Good times...
