Lift up that sides A-arm to take some tension off and tighten torsion bar adjuster nut. You may need to hold the bolt from turning with a wrench. Drive and then check with tape measure. repeat as needed. Its that simple. Oh yeah spray the bolt with a penetrating oil first.

I would use a level for a reference, and make the truck measure the ground within reason

Thanks

You set the truck up with the level (one on ground and one in my case under the piece of angle plate use for the new front bumper, it is reasonable true with the frame. put the truck height so the bubble where it needs to be to match the one on the ground.

We could really debate this ultimately I would do it on level ground with nothing in the bed

My experience was that the torsion bars adjustment ALWAYS changed with a little driving. :chew: Or a rough off road trip. It just never stays put! :(
Close counts here. Perfect is just not maintainable if you'r going to be off road... :sneeze:

Using the truck for plowing is the worst this truck sees and the extra weight. My thought is If I get it close as possible, give her a beating and if it looks good do the front alignment. ( She wont go off road till my baby is old enough to play in the woods shes 11 months)

yea, ive also heard that the stock torsions dont stay still worth squat. sway a way makes a thicker set, so deos downey offroad that hold the torsion. think they are like 120 bux or so.

Yeah, when my truck was IFS I ran RANCHO torsion bars for about six months, they were a couple of  MM. bigger, and better spring rate. There is alot of performance to be gained from an improved spring rate. :drool:To control the additional unsprung weight of a larger tire/wheel combo, the stock bars should be upgraded. It is cheap and bigger bars can take "cranked in" lift and off roading no problem.  My  :twocents:
