yes, there were a lot of people close to that main entrance (it was across from the bridge on International Speedway Blvd) as we got further down it thinned out to nothing.

I had on my jeans jacket with a rain jacket over it to keep out the wind, and there were actually people IN THE WATER!!

They were from Wisconsin, it was actually warm for them.

funny part was when the mammoth was parked on the road, when I went out to take pictures of Brian's parking mishap, there was a guy pointing at the spare diff on the bumper, telling his friend "it looks like a third member but it's an air tank"
Thinking I misunderstood what he said I said "it's an air tank?"
He said "yeah, it just looks like a diff"
I said "no, it's a spare third member"
He said "no it just looks like that, it's an air tank"
I said "no, it's really a spare diff, I'm with this Jeep"
That guy was all apologetic, but I laughed, and then Mark didn't know what was going on and wanted me to take pictures of Brian signing the fender so I didn't get to talk more to them till I met up with them at their booth.
They were with the Flatlanders Jeep Group out in the Tampa area, I'd been on thier board before too.

If I did not know what it was I would have guessed it was an old horn off an antique car from the 1920's. Did Ricky get a TJ? I thought he had a YJ? oh well. I thought you guys did not like shows or the beach? I guess I'll see you at Wilson's this year  :beerchug:
Lator.....
Nissan's need Marlin too. Won't you help?

shock the :pokinit: out of me too, gator! I couldn't believe ending up in Daytona and then driving on the beach, of course this was a nice cool day on the beach, not summer on the beach, big difference.
As for the shows, they are OK, could take 'em or leave 'em really but I guess it's part of your duty as a club member, so yeah, I guess we'll see you at Wilson's
It was fun helping out at our's, I helped out at the food stand.

OK we did a poker run with the jeep club today. They split us into three groups. We were the trail leaders of Group 1 and were the first to leave out of the gas station where we met, and the last in to the final destination.  :driving:
The first thing we did was head up the best trail in that area, the railroad grade. It wasn't a race, you just had to find all the markers at each point marked on the map, and make it to the last stop by about 1:00 for lunch.  :chew:
There, as long as you got all the markers  :turtle:  (and picked up at least bag's worth trash on the way, we always do a clean-up too), each driver of the group got their poker hand.
I had no intention of taking main forest roads, this was a trail ride after all, and it sounds like every one had a good time. The other two groups just headed straight for the main forest roads, which are just wide fast (and dusty) rides, with maybe some short side trips.

Anyway, here are some pics... it's been wetter out there but you can usually always find water on the railroad grade.

At one point, a trail that was supposed to go through, didn't, so we sent the rest of the Jeeps round the detour, and Mark forged ahead, over a downed tree, and through a couple others, he flipped the shackles backward, again, and bent the hood. So that's two war wounds in as many days! :bud:

somehow i thought this involved pics of food :dunno:
:headscratch: you hungry or sumpthin? We had hotdogs at the final destination, best hot dogs ever! I was so hungry and tired. Then we stopped at this little ice cream stand on the way home.
I had a hot fudge sundae and Mark had a carmel sundae and we just finished eating the pizza and wings we ordered (well the wings anyway).
But I didn't take pictures of any of it :meal:
Here's a picture of where we ate the hot dogs, is that close enough? The hot dogs are in a propane heated pan of water behind the jeep behind the guy in the bright green shirt in the background.  :yesnod:

no, not much mud, we haven't had rain in some time now, lucky we didn't have fire, there were some area's that were recently burned.
There will be more pics posted by the other Jeep club members, I'll post them up here when I find more good ones.
Oh, here's one I like. This dog was so obedient! When his master told him HEEL he was right at his side. Gotta love a lab, they are so beautiful.
A couple more from the only wet area of the trail.
And one tight area we got into, we just cleared that tree, had to put the windshield down to get under it.  :beerchug:

Naw we don't use something that off the wall. We just bring an electric blender and plug it into one of our on-board welders, or if we have the motorhomes I have a built-in blender.
