Van horn to Elpaso  is  flat  and downhill,  then  NM  is up and down awhile,  the climb out of LasCruses is a PAIN in the :moon:

Yep, then a  several miles after you hit Willcox, Az, there is another big climb for a few miles ( it's called Texas Canyon), carefull going down the other side, you can pick up speed fast if not careful. Plus the road in that area, right before Benson, isn't the best road. It's smooth pavement but they did a crappy job on the grading, so you'll feel a lot of "dips" in the road. Then another climb up into Benson, then pretty easy to Tucson.

Yeah, it only takes me about 3 hrs from Cruces to my house pulling the Toy on the trailer. I live about 20 minutes south of Benson on hiway 90.
I'd love to wheel that area, lots of big rocks!! :driving:

Thanks for the info, we had to stop one more time after the pilot to make another adjustment (the :idiot: at Banks told Mark to move the plate to the front of the engine, but it had to be moved toward the front of the vehicle :slap: )

We're doing a lot better, stilll getting passed on uphill grades but not nearly as bad as it had been.

I read to him all you all said about the climbs ahead. We may stop again and make another slight adjustment.

OK... some pics while I still have a connection..

First from the campground this morning: Mammoth fans and Mark using the compressor to fill the tires on the trailer. :woohoo:

Then at the Pilot this NASCAR trailer pulled up next to us. I thought if anyone was a fan they would find it cool. I don't know anything about it.

And lastly, Mark giving the engine his special treatment

Yep, it's a pusher! Ginger loves sleeping on the bed when we were rolling. I haven't tried it but if you can get over the engine noise it's probably pretty relaxing. Diesel powered Magic Fingers

welcome to Arizona
 we only just got into AZ, that was in NM
There had a border patrol check going E bound in TX. It's after El Paso in either direction.
MAN mexico is about a MESS isn't it? You can see it across the Rio Grande as you get close to the state line. :ack:
We're in AZ now, about 2 hours from Abnormaltoy which would put as there 7:30 their time, so we're going to push through. The further we get tonight the closer to Marlin we'll be tomorrow.
