Black wheels would look good but you can run those 31s on those stock rims if you want to. I ran a set of 31" treadwrights on a set and they wore just fine.

Haha oh I know, the rims are strickly  style points. ;) plus if I get some with a little offset. That'll help with the reason I'm getting new tires. Wider stance. So with a offset rim, plus a 10.5 tire, I should have a much wider platform to stand on. not to mention I have an axel from a 91 IFS truck in the back as well. Which were much beefier and has an extra 1.5" of stance either way.

Anyway have some really bad news I was on my way home from Glenwood to Denver yesterday and one of my smaller coolant lines behind the intake manifold came off a leaked all my coolant out and temperature gauge really spiked up I saw the gauge and I heard a knock and I shut it off and coasted it to a stop on the shoulder of the road in a tunnel disturbed.  Had steem everywhere. anyway long story short I'm back in Glenwood now haha, at the same friends house I was visiting, ordered a head gasket autozone will be here an hour so, already took the head of last night, and the oil in every crevasse of the engine was milky with coolant. I'll be cleaning and buttoning back together today and hopefully be back on the road by this afternoon. this is all to say though that there was no warpage of the head disturbed

That happened to me right after I built my 22r. I caught it before anything major happened though. I am a stickler for watching my gauges

Just got done putting everything back together I think the worst has shown its face. I don't think I have any compression plus when I turn it over I hear bubbles gathering in the radiator??? Open to suggestions.

That sucks. I had that fitting corode away and break on me when i was in college years ago i toasted the motor due to the temp gauge failing as well.

Also I think  I have some pretty bad blow through, I think that's what you call it, because when I was reassembling her I noticed I had some play with the cylinder heads. you could call it wiggle room within the chamber. much more than I would be comfortable with. I don't know how much play exactly but I could definitely fit some type of feeler gauge in there at least a .012" level of fatness for a gauge. not saying I did this by I know I could if I wanted.

coolant + oil = diarrhea :'(

And this "diarrhea" was in the head, a little in the chambers(might have dripped in there when I pulled the head off though) , and a Butt load, punn intended ;) , in the oil pan.

sounds like the heads warped
I hope not, or if it is that I can get it milled, and still do my hybrid plan, just have it put way back on the back burner. And just run with a 22r. from a yard some how for now. And build the 20r head in the garage,. Fuel injection. Turbo, valves. (I forgot to mention, but my intake valves are actually bent, not bad but you can see how it seats, and there are actually  notches in the piston heads from where they smacked. Previous owner) and then when that is ready bolt it on my 22r block. :dunno: if I even get a 22r.

Or  I throw a total curve ball and swap a 3cyl diesel  from a skid steer, or freight truck. :yikes:

The first option is all to say the heads not cracked..

84_yota_4wd

You can get the head surfaced usually about 30 bucks. If you have bent valve i would not advise reinstalling that head bud. Because a bent valve can turn into a broke valve at any time, as the stem has now been weakened. Id find another and drop it in for now you can pick up 22r long blocks used for cheap to get you on the road again.

Ya I agree. And if the head is cracked, I can have some machine  shop check that for me right? And let's say it is? Is that fixable?

84_yota_4wd

Most machine shops that surface heads will also pressure check them, its pricey though about 125. Repairing the crack is not advised not to say it cant be done but not advised. Either way by the time you buy new valves and have all the work done you could pick up a good used one and just surface it and have the valves ground. Or even better ive got a good 22r long block ill let go for cheap bud i thought it had a blow by issue but it turned out to be the the way i had the pcv system set up.
It has about 100k on it and comp is 180-180-175-185. Ill give it to you for cheap i just want it out of my garage

Ya I know haha, I asked about that, they said that earlier that day they were having trouble with the hydraulics.?

??? No I didn't.. this is the first I ever heard of this. however they did put the T case in neutral aswell. But like you said. Doesn't make a difference. So what your saying is. Anytime the truck is "rolling" but not "alive" so to speak. It's bad for the T case??? Does this include when you shift gears? Or no?

H8PVMNT

It will probably survive a few tows but you don't want to flat tow it as a habit or it will mess up a bearing in there.  I think the tranny can take it but the t-case wont.
