I drove it last week before I bought it. The 22re is strong and does not burn a drop of oil. The body is actually in really good shape but needs to be buzzed down and repainted. No rust except for the surface rust on the hood and the few spots on the box. The few rust spots can be easily cleaned up. The truck has cruise control and a/c. The tires are so new that the nipples are not completely worn off yet. The bumper needs to be scrapped as well as the flares. I am taking out the body lift and the entire suspension will be sold. I will sell the 5.71s and probably the box. The best part is the truck was only 40 miles from my house. I have all the parts necessary for a sas, hp third, dual ultimate, and a set of 30 spline Longs ready to go in. I stock piled parts to rebuild my 87 but this truck is a much better platform. The truck below was gonna get a sas and a complete rebuild but the 92 will get the attention instead.

The dude filed for bankruptcy and the bank got the truck. The dude told the bank that the truck was parked out in the pasture with a blown motor. The bank said it wasn't worth anything so they didn't want it but they did run the title through a paper shredder so the truck could never be licensed again. Or so the story goes. The guy was older and seemed real honest. So I am pretty sure it was the truth.

tires alone are worth it

That is what I thought when I saw the truck. He has a 5th spare 38 inch TSL that has never even been mounted. The guy has owned the truck since 92 when he bought it with 9000k on it. He told me he primarily used the truck for running organized mud bogs and he said he did pretty well against the V-8 rigs. He also said he had never broken one thing. After that I knew the truck couldn't have had that hard of a life if he never even broke cv shaft. I am excited to go pick it up so I can start working on it.

The part that really pisses me off about the deal is that I just bought a brand new set of 38 inch Tsls two weeks ago for 800$. :smack: The set I bought are just sitting in garage. Now I have two sets of brand new 38s. What a waste of money, oh well.

Thanks No Power. I think I just may have to take you up on that offer about cleaning the surplus tires out of my garage. Give me your zip code and I will check on how much shipping will cost to your location. Or not. :)

Thanks. I am going to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. As soon as I get it I will have to take out the bodylift and or find smaller tires so I can get it in my garage and start tearing it apart. :beerchug:

I have done a lot of work to this truck since I got it. Here is some of the progress. Pics of the SAS. And welded High Pinion front.

My old trail truck got cut up for parts  :rivers: This was the last night before the torch was applied  :flamer: I traded the old "350" torsion bars that came on my 1992 for this 4runner that also got cut up and parted out.

The dual ultimate crawler installed. Using the sky manufacturing t-case crossmember I added a 2" drivetrain lift which ran my driveshaft through the crossmember behing the t-case. I cut it out and welded in a new one.
