I will be making this run, when the date that was tossed around was inthe earlier summer I wouldnt have been able to go.  But now that its in early fall hell yea Im in!

So beings that Im pretty sure tha tthe whole PNW contingent (the ones that matter anyway. ) are coming down there, I say that you dry landers need to make a trip up to TSF next year.  Its only fair...

I'll be there :crossed:

Right now I have IFS and stock t-case.  I want to try to SAS or dual crawlers before this event, prolly not both, which should I do for the 'con?  I've never been there, so I am not sure which would be a better mod to make for it.
Blackdog without a dought do the crawler first. If you dont have the gears you will thrash your rig.

mudaddict

so dont knwo if i can make it its about 900 miles from pheonix to chico and im not sure where the rubicon is from there! :rivers:

What does Pheonix or Chico have to do with it arent you from Bothell? I-5 south to Sacramento then east on 80 towards Reno. About 700 one way from Portland (10-11 hours). I made the trip last year to Fordyce (just across the "street" from the Rubicon) all the way thru and back in my 83 from Portland and this was the trucks shakedown run. I'll be on a trailer this year though  8)

Mudddict, you dont go to chico, its about 100 miles, I think a little more from sacramento to chico, and to get to chico you would drive through sac

Not bad.  It's only 1 hour for me!  Its soo much easier to trailor a toyota for long distances.  You can actually go the speed limit up and down hills.  I will be driving mine up there, at least that is the plan.  And hopefully i will have 37's!!!!

Dooner

Im gonna need a bigger tank! We gotta get a convoy together for this one.

TrackVino

TrackVino will be there with his 4.3 4 Runner. This will give me time to take it on some local trails, and learn how to drive on rocks.

Now ive never been on this run, so whats the situation like, how much room do I get for my rig and tent and stuff? How does all that work?

sooo much better to tow.  Don't have to worry about your toy breaking down on the highways going 60mph+.  Not fun.
