Nope. I still am using a Hobart140 and my welding helmet sucks. What I would like to do is have a shop that i know of weld everything up for me because my welding skills are amateur at best. I can tack everything in place good enough, but really dont want to do all the final welds. I need a new helmet though for sure.

I untacked the front hanger yesterday and am going to move it forward a little bit per the advice above. It will end up sitting about 3/4-7/8" forward from the stock hanger.

Shamb-the top 3 are from my 80 rear set that has been laying around, a random Tacoma leaf in the middle and then finished the top 3 from the rears off this truck. I am happy with how they turned out. I just followed some of the info on the Pirate RUF faq's. We'll see how they do. I am looking for some springs for the rear now. If anybody knows of some, let me know

I moved the front hanger forward a bit. Its at just over 3/4" and that is where it will stay for now. If I have to move it again for some reason  :tantrum:, I will.

Reed helped me clean up the frame a little bit

 I think its time for some better stands to support this project  :ha_ha:

This is gonna be nice!

I sure hope so!! We are putting alot of time and effort into this project. Thanks for the enthusiasm!!

Couldn't pass up a good sale going on at RuffStuff so I picked up a rear axle kit. Nice kit loaded with pure beef  Also, thanks to Shamb, I got a killer deal on some new Marlin 4" springs :willynilly:. I ordered a front ubolt flip kit and some large bushings for these springs today from Marlin and they are already on their way. Parts are gathering fast, but the weather is going to be wet so I won't get much done till next week some time. I wish I had a nice shop.

Made a little bit of progress by getting the IFS box mount installed. I moved the box forward a good bit so I just cut the stock bumper mount off. I will trim the box mount a little, burn it in some more and make a cap for top maybe since I dont know what happened to the one that came with the kit.

Also, picked up a W56 w/tcase. Thats the 3rz bellhousing on it. I am probably going to put a dual ultimate set-up behind it. Might as well do it right the first time.

Picked up a complete rear e locker axle today. I was going to buy just the diff but the guy mad me what I felt was a good deal on the whole package. Came with the harness/switch/gasket new from Low Range. The locker is in xlnt condition.  :bling:

This has me worried though. Some sort of anti-lock brake thing? Whats going on here :headscratch: I hope this doesn't mean I cant use this housing or have to cut the ends off  :dunno:  Must be for some kind of sensor. I have never seen this before.

now thats not a bad idea. I like that. Its an ABS speed sensor that goes there . I am definitely going to have to do something about that.

My elocker came with the same abs crap on the housing. I'm using my wide track housing but if I used the taco housing I would just leave the sensors in or make some other kind of block off plate. Sweet score. I love elockers

Get yourself a factory elocker ecu off eBay and you'll be set for the factory elocker button. Most of the wires off the ecu that have to do with the speed sensor get grounded just hook up the necessary power, grounds, lock and unlock and indicator lamp wire. Look up the gray wire mod. That will learn you a little but about the factory elocker ecu.

Or just hook it up with some relays. Inchworm has a pretty good diagram for easy wire up.
