i put one of those on a 400hp wrx that a friend has.  they are super fun.  Make sure to keep it coated with paint and the linkage all lubed up otherwise the elements will seize it up. And make sure to waterproof all the connections and the motor.

Not if you felt it.. the gear oil looked like someone dumped a bottle of glitter into it. The diff was installed in August I believe..

Some Very Small Chunks. Mostly pasty...  I've had em pasty before... but not this pasty. Gear oil looked to be years old. It's been in there for a little over a month lol.. i changed it once since I installed it in august before MCR.  Im just saying, in my experience anyway, Thats too much material, in too short of a time im not stressing on it though. Any way it goes ill get er done.

In the first video it sounds like a bearing howling but I'm not sure. Isn't that a new driveshaft?

rear driveline slip is clapped out, same goes for that u joint. should be tight.

as for the other sound cant really hear it over that background noise or is that the noise u speak of?

if u dont need the tuck to drive, pull the diff and inspect.

So this fun stuff got here today.. Thanks Rockcrawlintoy for the link to the bearing!   Now if I can just find that flippin C clip or retaining clip that is installed after the bearing.

sweet goodies man!  that winch is gonna make your front bumper pop! and will really come in handy just u wait..


also dave and i were talking it over today and we think the reason why both diffs went toast is because your rear driveline is shot and all the vibration from the worn out u joint and slip is absorbed by the pinion bearing and pinion itself which was the point of failure in the v6 diff, i wouldnt be surprised if its the pinion in that diff u have.

i could be wrong but it would make sense as to why both diffs went out.

My driveline angle is on point my ninja... it was only off for a week... i shimmed it... then after shim ming it... i had a local shop clock it accordingly... took the truck sown to coast driveline and they said the dl angle looks tits.. maybe it's our angle that's not allowing oil up there?  On my end though... it seems to be just my driveshaft... not to say that there wasn't a ton of metal glitter and more paste that I have seen in my life in such a short period of time.. seems to be working great I suppose haha. It's HARD To Tell Those things.. also I just shot my driveline a few weeks ago jamming through a deep mud pit in 2WD enjoying my power....

That Audi pulls hard.  My "wifes" evo 9 pulled about the same. Not as cumfy, but alot faster in the corners.  The evo hit the limiter at about 165, Im sure the audi keeps going without the limiter.
