Hell yes!!! I want megasquirt so bad.... Your toy is gonna be one badass machine by the time you're done with it!!!

I've hit 165 in the Audi but I ran out of road... I deleted the speed governor with Maestro, stock was 135 as well... With the 6 speed at 7200 rpms it calculates it would hit around 200 mph but I'd need to be in the salt flats and crank up the boost... LOL! My buddy hit 180 in his 2g eclipse, that thing is flat nasty! I'd have to say anything over 135 starts getting pretty intense!!!

That actually isn't that bad.  The high price is if you don't know what you are doing then you blow it all up and have to start over again.  lol.  Its the best $ for HP you can get on a turbo vehicle.  Not only can you gain top end power, but you can have a tune for low end torque and spool if you are crawling.  With alot of other vehicles, the ecu's are easy to tune and people have it figured out.  It doesn't seem like toyota guys spend much effort at it.  Excited to see you work it out.  Wish you had a dyno.

Funny you should mention the dyno. I found one local.. once I get the R150F installed and a new driveshaft... I'm headed down on there on the stock ecu and gonna see what it's putting down before and after..

Hey Nations what year is your runner? im trying to pick someones brain about the wiring on an 84 and the conversion

Im swapping a 95 3rz with 5 spd ecu onto an 84 carbed pickup.  my original wiring harness is for the carbed version so it has no efi anything.  Couldnt I just go ahead and disconnect the original hot wire to the starter and leave the original system to power my lights, blinkers, a/c and stuff?  Then go ahead and install the 3rz harness and ecu's, fuse boxes and relays with its own hot wire off the battery, as well as a new hot wire for the starter...then just hot wire the ignition wire into my current harness?

This way essentially when i turn they key to on, the ingnition wire will allow power to both ecu's...

The old : powering the lights, a/c blower, blinkers, brakes, fuses, all my old guages (i want to run the  original 84 cluster)

The new: Powering the 3rz ecu, fuses, relays and fuel pump n stuff

ill let the ODBII system chill under the glove box and check it for codes.  i know i should use the cluster for the donor, i will providing it fits right.

anyways thanks any help is much appreciated!!!

Ojm, that's lame! $100 hr where I'm going.
And yes, it's been a while since the wiring... i have somewhat of a different setup then what you have being my motor is the COP.  To answer your question YES, that's about what I did.. i still had to utilize the donor trucks in cab fuse box..

23 spline and R150F are getting pulled this weekend and the G54 HD re-installed. There was a seal that I looked over on the R150F that is supposed to go behind the input adapter piece for the gear driven case. All of the fluid went into my Transfercases and the Trans ran dry or low on fluid for too long and is now making some interesting noises :( .   It's the name of the game I suppose.  :usa:

Sorry to hear bout yer luck. I'm excited to see how the megasquirt works out for ya. Does it control timing? And how much you pay if you don't mind my asking. And if you have a link to where you bought it and the part number that would be awsome. I have more qs but I'll wait

I believe you'd get everything there give or take the COP resistor mod..  I got it from DIY.  Yes, it controls timing. It's an entirely new computer and the stock computer will be removed.  Gonna hardwire it into the stock harness and try and mount it to the roof/headliner for water crossings.

So nation you guna set that megasquirt up all by your lonesome and try and learn the tuning software I'll by your lonesome like I did. I still don't kno what the hell I'm doing haha. Naw I think most of it is not being able to control lots of important stuff while in boost like timing. I need a better tuner unit. Still not quite sure what route I'm guna go. Good luck whatever you do I hope you get that thing running too notch like it should

Thanks guys! My buddy bryan is building the MS for me. I will be hard wiring it to my harness.  My buddy brian has all of the software and has a lot of experience tuning. He's gonna help me out there. Basically I'll be taking notes and shown how/what to do. That's happening next weekend. I had to take a weekend off.
Trans is still singing away, and the driveshaft is shot. It's soo miserable to drive right now :(
