I have essentially zero turbo lag. Our torquey motors boost quick.
Also, our huge tires create instant load on the motor... booooost

Seems to be exactly like that. No lag. Boost boost and more boost. Almost ready for injectors. First I had to upgrade my steering for the snow season. Ditching the heim joints and goin with gm 1 ton rod ends with bungs and new tubing. Got an 80$ reamer but to taper my steering arms for the bigger ends. Also almost ready for my 2004 front end swap. Got the core support, grill, headlights, just need a hood.

Well these one ton rod ends are pretty big. Maybe a little too big. I haven't tried yet but I can almost guarantee they will hit each other on the passenger high steer arm. I was thinkin I'm guna have to modify that arm to use these. It's too bad nobody makes a Toyota axle hs arm for the bigger rod ends. Maybe they're just not necessary, the main reason I wana do it is I wana ditch the heim joint steer cause it just dosnt last but I already drilled my arms out now they're too big for fj joints but can taper them and run the one ton joints. Maybe I should have just bought new arms and put new fj joints back on. Ill prob. Make the beefy joints work beins I have them now.

I know it won't be as strong, but you could fill the holes with weld then re-taper them for FJ rod ends.

Little baby is doin well, been occupying my time a little. I kinda left my truck where it's at as far as tuning it. I drive it everyday it still needs a little fine tuning and some bigger injectors for sure but it's pretty good. Afr is high elevens at wot and kinda jumps between ten and fifteen while daily drivin. Got allmyfront end parts hope to work on that soon and also get a good video to show here soon. I want someone to video for me I'm not satisfied with the selfies anymore.

I'm running 7/8'' heims with 3/4'' hardware... had to clearance the drag link to passengers side arm heims so they wouldn't bind up... tight fit but they work and do not bind!

I been runnin heims for awhile but for daily driving they dry out a lot, gotta grease them often. For daily purposes I'm goin back to rod ends, I'm guna end up modifying my arm to run the onè ton ends cause they're beefy.

I got this kit from sky for a little under 2 bills. I'm hopin to use 250 wall dom for the links. The last ones I made were 120, they been fine but I noticed that Toyota high steer kits have 250 wall, so I'd like to go back to that thickness.

Tearing down an old Ariel platform lift at work it has a lot of newly replaced hydraulic lines on it. I have an old ram I'm guna use for hydro assist now that I'm guna have lines and fittings to do like 20 setups. I'll show my setup wgen I do it.

You will love hydro assist.  I picked up a stupid trail queer kit and the ram is leaking after 4 months.  Only reason I got it was because it was from a buddy for 125 bucks.  Should have just got a different one.  Still, the hydro assist is priceless on the trail.

Right now my steering sucks. I think I need a bigger reservoir or something cause if I steer one way then steer the other way too fast it locks up like the pump can't keep up or something. I don't have any air in the system. I'm wondering if the 3rz pump is weak for the ifs box.

Ya all hydro assist does that some.  My hyrdo actually felt better with my 22re steering pump.  The 3rz one feels weak, even after I ripped the screen out.

Eventually I might think about doin a pow steer pump swap. Maybe go with a gm one or something. There's one that guys use that you can do a simple home modification to and run a bigger reservoir. Suppose to be a good setup for running a ram

I don't kno what brand the rod ends are they just say H14 on them. It might say on the sky website I didn't really pay attention cause I knew they would be good quality coming from sky

Finally got around to swapping my maf sensor to the charge pipe and running my BOV downstream from the maf on the same pipe from the ic to the tb. Should have done this a long time ago. The truck runs like it did na only it has boost now. It's warms up the way it's supposed to now and never dies or backfires. I also took some fuel out of the boosted area of my fuel map and now runnin solid 11.5 afr wich is better than it jumpin from 9 to 13 all the time in open loop.

Yea it's way better. My factory computer is learning my tune and my afr at wot is more like 11.8-12.1 now. I'd be willing to throw it on a dyno pretty soon this is how she"ll stay for awhile til I do either a better piggyback unit or maybe megasquirt 2 or 3 cause that stuff is amazing.

My w56 trans is getting hard to shift down into 2nd gear and kinda 3rd gear too. I had it apart to look it over awhile back. Everything looked good, bearings were a little sloppy. For anyone who might have experience is it my syncros that are making it down shift hard and grind or is it sloppy bearings. It goes through the gears fine shifting up. Thanks for any help

Sounds like it needs a rebuild, bearing slop will cause that. Usually when synchros go they grind shifting up or down from that gear.

Sometimes it seems kinda pointless to have a turbo on your daily driver that pretty anytime your hittin boost you're speeding. I got nailed doin 88 in a 55. My speedo is off in the higher speeds so it said I was doin 70.sometimes I don't realize how quick my truck really is now, that was at 5000 in 3rd goin into 4th. I guess it's time to stay in the slow lane and use my ponys when I'm wheelin. I usually keep a clean record so that kinda hurts.
