I'm pretty much lost in my open loop tuning til I get my wideband. It will make closed loop easier too.

based on my understanding you want it to start spooling around 2500 rpms. I have 2012 wrx starts spooling around 3700 rpms and its glorifying the boost is addictive, peak boost at 19.5 psi is great so much power!!!

Yea I was wondering if you had a build thread. Awsome. Yea I think I prefer to spool starting at about 2500 or higher. It dosnt seem to do much good to spool right off idle, I'm playin with it til I get it exactly where it's best.

I finally hooked my e locker up using the factory e locker ecu. I hard wired it and grounded all the safety wires so it engages anytime. It's super easy and a very reliable way to hook them up. I could do a write up on it if anyone needs to kno wire colors and things like that

I am having a hard time finding a price and how to order the megasquirt stuff. Any pointers?  if you have some part numbers that would be killer ;)

I am just running the urd maf sensor calibrator with map sensor it's working good for tuning low boost but it dosnt have any timing control. I think twisted toy was talking about megasquirt I don't kno much about it. Any piggyback or standalone is guna be the same concept, tuning software to adjust fuel at every rpm at every pressure. Some just have more features than others like timing control, closed loop tuning, 02 calibrating. I'm guna step up to one with timing control eventually like the aem FTC or urd fuel timing cal. But for now the maf cal been working pretty good. I don't even want a piggyback that I can't tune myself now that I got the hang of it. Just change the numbers on the fuel map according to fuel trims and afr. Pretty straight forward

Yea for the mega squirt I didn't see one for 3rz. Aem makes a good piggyback. That's what I'm stepping up to next.

I think you can get similar performance with something way cheaper if you do your research. And as far as learning how to tune gadget online  has a good write up it taught me a ton. It's the manual for the urd fuel timing calibrator but once u learn their software u should be able to apply what u learn to other units and software for them.

It's called u-tune guide at gadget online. If you google it you'll fund it.

Yea for sure. That's what I'm guna upgrade to from the urd maf calibrator cause right now I don't have timing control. I would still read the u tune guide. I don't kno what you know about tuning closed loop according to what the short term and long term fuel trims are but that is explained very well then of course tuning open loop using afr. Also getting to kno the layout of fuel maps and timing maps, setting up a neutral cell value to start tuning from, 3rz with pink injectors and stock fuel pump usually have a cell value of 10.0 or 10.1, 10.4 in the cells at idle. If I get the aem piggy and start making a good fuel and timing map I can email them to someone if interested.

Thanks man! I haven't slept in 4 days, I didn't kno it was possible to stay up that long. Got discharged today, shooting for some sleep for all three of us tonight. But yea I think that aem unit will be a good one, anything better than that would be a stand alone unit.

So I bought two of these gauge pods off eBay for 6 bucks a piece. I put a hole in the back of one to run all my afr gauge wires through. The other one is for my boost gauge I'm guna sticky mount them on my dash one on each side of the gauge cluster, that's the plan anyway
