nice, wish you guys would have gone with us to strawberry, also.

Cheesemaker

I sat with BigMike and Chris at the Marlin booth all day saturday.  But I had to split right when everybody was lining up to do the afternoon run.  Everybody was wanting me to take the minivan out on the rock.  But I think the wife would have had the divorce papers for me to sign.  I wish I could have jumped in a open seat, but maybe next time I'm down.

Until this on the way home:(

TaroVr6!! Oh man that sucks! You just picked these tires up right? Could you explain what happened? How fast were you going and at what tire pressure were you at when this happened? Scary! :shudder: :scared:

Ok I think I have this app figured out, all the action was at night, and iPhone is not too good for night shots.

I wish shane would have gone with you guys so he could compare the 2 runs.  Joel said you all ended up with some trail rash.  Hope it wasn't too bad.  I backed into a tree and I think I pushed my MC bumper in a bit because it broke my CB antenna off and now it wont go on without hitting the tail light.  No visible ripples or bends though.

toyotech

strawberry was suppose to be an easier trail. with your set up, you should be able to tackle any trail imo
i dont know about the other guys but all i got was a few scratches

and ripped off one of my mud flaps

Ya I just picked up these tires a week earlier but they we're used tho:( older style MTR'S dated "1604" but they are from te las Vegas area which is why I think they are dry rotted:( I was running 18-20psi and it happened on the way down the hill from tamarack ridge toward shaver doing about 35-40mph... The rubber looks like it all just broke apart??? And by the time I got home in fresno the passenger side front tire was split apart inbetween the tread and leaking air!!! The rear two are still holding fine...
See you at the Timberline!

BigMike

That is very scary. After the event I drove from Tamarack to the air compressor at the Exxon station in Shaver doing ~50 mph on only 12-15 psi. I'm running original MTRs, 37x12.50x15, got them used in like-new condition in 2008. I've done 80 mph in 4WD at 5 psi on the dry lake bed on the east side of the Hammers Mtn range.... Tires have never let me down. Sorry to see what happened to ya but I praise the Lord for you and your families safety!

I got HREW kickout sliders from 4x innovations. I have had them in my living room for a few months and finally got them installed when we came back from pismo. I didn't wanna do anything to the truck till after that trip
The shocks I used where way to short but it still flexed pretty good. My new pair came in yesterday and already installed ready for my next wheeling trip. Can't wait to try them out

hahahaha Actually it tops off around 95-100 mph. My speedometer only goes up to 80, but TURBO was along side me and noted his speed. If I could get my 37s balanced I know she'll do more :gap:

I know, thats why I wished Shane had done both so he could compare.  He thought strawberry was kinda of rough.  The other guy that went with us ran Red lake last year and said that they are pretty close in difficulty.  I don't know, guess I will have to run them both to see for myself.

me n a few of my crew will be heading up saturday morning to coyote....have fun
built lastnight, crawl today...

Monk, I wish I was rich, I'd be flying down to Fresno ALOT!!  I wish I could be there this weekend, but I'm headed to Millican OHV Groundhog 2012 rock crawl event.  All it's gonna cost me is a bushel of oysters and my oyster cooker.  Oh, and some .

But next year when I come down, I'm gonna make some calls at the first of the year, and maybe plan something out.   :crossed:  Like I said to Mike and a few others, it's hard for me to not have a crawler, and being so far away, it makes it very difficult to plan this stuff out.
But I did meet alot of really cool people this last time.

A group of us are going into red and coyote again this up coming weekend. We didn't try getting into coyote last time because the gate keeper looked brutal, but were going to try to make it through this weekend and see what happens.
