Here's how Red lake looked today around 4pm.  I'd say there is probably 6 inches of snow on the ground.
The pile of rocks at the beginning of the trail was interesting to say the least.

Anybody have any insight on when they plan to open the red lake trails up this year?

As soon as the mosquitoes hatch & the trail is bone dry & dusty.
The trail opened last year on the 11th of June and those were the conditions.

June 9th we opened last year hope hope to be able to go in early this year too if Forest service permits, and if its dry it will probably happen, they have been a little better at working with the clubs and going in and surveying the trail,as early as possible but the weather dictates most of those decisions from year to year.
Coyote was opened as well
