WOOHOO!!!!

TimberlineBryce

Hey Ive never been on these trails before, I have a 2nd gen 4runner with SAS and rear leafs with 35's and stock gears... so do you think duals and lockers are required for this area??
See you at the Timberline!

lockers are better but you should be okay to red, but to coyote you will probably prefer lockers so you don't tear it up

Yeah you can always stop at red lake, just bring some bros to stack some rocks. I did it with stock gears and a stick shift once but there was a lot of engine stalling and abusing my rig over rocks. If you have an automatic it will be better.

Yeah remember to unstack.  I think it is good to go once with lift and tires, then with a locker, then with gears and fully locked. It makes you appreciate your rig more. Just takes more time without all the mods.

TimberlineBryce

Ok Gonna check it out tomorrow morning, well see how far we make it... Or might try brewer;)
See you at the Timberline!

TimberlineBryce

We had a great time today!!!

Until this on the way home:(
See you at the Timberline!

yotatough

Damn that sucks... How far did you guys go?  We are running coyote next sat.

TimberlineBryce

We made it to red, probably couldve gone further but we ran out of time waiting for all the jeep traffic jams!! :turtle3:
See you at the Timberline!

andeze

yeah, trail traffic sucks. We usually hit that trail after 9pm, no traffic and funner in the dark

I dread sidewall blowouts driving back down the mountain, good to see your rig is still upright.

TimberlineBryce

Ya I couldn't believe how much trail traffic there was! We stopped for about 20min at red lake and saw about 30 jeeps pass us then when we kept going there was a long line waiting to get through the first gatekeeper so we said forget it and headded back:/
