My AR-15 project.  Gonna be a SS 24" Bull, made for long range.   Started the Finnish on the lower while I wait for the barrel to be made.

I'll be running this 24" platform , minus this stock.  Going adjustable.

That's pretty sick. I do have to say though, never seen the key hole logo on a lower. Uppers yes but never lowers. Whose lower are you using?

Ares Lower, and my etching.  You can do it, I just made vinyl negatives.  Google "Etching With Battery Charger".  Salt water, Battery charger (non automatic) and some q-tips.

Couple pictures I had easy access to.

AKM was an anniversary gift from the old lady.

I picked up the Shield for her right after they came out.

Thanks, furniture came unfinished and I just threw some Tru-oil on it. Picture was before I scuffed it up so it wasn't so shiny. It will get beat to hell and look better eventually.

Nice AKM,  AK's are so bad ass looking.  They just look mean.  Been involved in a bunch of AK builds, including my own.

Definitely. I was considering buying all the tools to build them from kits. I'd like to build a 74 for a plinker since ammo is a little cheaper. Summer time sucks for shooting here though it's too damn hot, so I tend to concentrate on other things. Like web wheeling lol.

I had an interesting conversation when I was sitting in the dentist chair yesterday. The hygenist and dentist ladies were talking about that crap that went down at the movie theatre and she was like OMG I heard they had an AK47! It was hard to keep my trap shut about the media and AKM's. Some people just feed right into the media's crap...

A 74 is awesome to shoot cause, you can do it all day.  If you want to borrow the tools, I am game.  I got a flat bender and rivet tool, for any AK.

When I come across a kit I will hold you to that and take you up on it. Mighty generous of you sir.

EDIT: Rockcrawlintoy, have you shot it yet? How do you like the trigger safety?

X2 on the 74's. Dad has had a couple and I love shooting them. Plus the ammo is still pretty inexpensive and readily available.

Finally finished this, put about 150 rounds through it yesterday.  Flawless, and deadly accurate.  24" Stainless Bull in Nato 5.56, 1 in 8 twist.  Ares Lower, RGuns Upper, DPMS parts kit.  Milling and etch by me.

They ruined it by saying "use to" instead of "used to".  Damn hippies!

Upgraded two of my guns this weekend.

The M91/30 had a really worn out stock, lots of knicks and marks, showing it's age. So I decided to modernize it and turn it into a hunting/sniper rifle. Went with the ATI stock and very pleased with it. Bipod is a UTG unit and also equally happy with it for the price. Currently researching scopes.

The Mossberg 500 I added a Mossberg heat shield, a UTG tri rail mount, a Sun Optics 250 lumen light/laser combo and a sidesaddle 6 shotshell holder. I am extremely impressed with the Sun Optics light/laser. It was $80 from Cheaper Than Dirt and can run either the light and laser, just the light, or just the laser, and the laser is fully adjustable. It also came with a remote pressure switch but I decided not to use it. Don't think I will be doing anything else to my Mossberg.

nice taste in mods, but I think the light on the shotty looks bulky but its function not looks, when it comes to lights

Thanks. Yeah I looked at a lot of lights but I was looking for maximum lumens and 250 is super bright. It is just a home defense weapon and occasionally I shoot trap with it. I will see how it effects target shooting next time I am at the range. It is only 4 bolts to pull it off if I want to.
