well.....the rig is now nearly completed....only a few minor things to finish......I'll be out to Prairie City OHV park
for a little test and tune...I ended up lowering the entire truck about 4 inches...here's a before pic...

made a few changes to the rear...installed some new 15" bad ass BCOC shocks..added a limiting strap to the rear end..
I dont want the rear end to drop too far to pull out my driveline...I also remove the 2" coil spacer....dropped the truck
another 2" in the rear...

  yea.....I did brake the rear end last year at fordyce ....I broke the drivers side rear axle..the toy v-6
rear held up very well...only broke because of too much red bull and vodka...very lame on my part....dont drink & drive
I do however have another axle to install when i return from Johnson valley...some bling bling goin in the rear...
i'll post it up when it happens...like i said...dont drink & drive.....ONLY bad things can happen....

That one tree has saved soo many trucks that could have gone off that cliff.  when i was up there a Jeep almost rolled off.  The Jeep had to Winch to my buddies toy so it wouldn't roll.  the tree is mangaled but still surviving.

well......I dont drink & drive any longer.....I'll save the drinking till I'm back at camp.....only bad things
happen when alcohol & off roading are mixed.....Fordyce creek is a tough trail and you do see many rollover's...
lots of off angle's,steep climbs & off camber obstacles......the jamboree pic I hit the side of the exo and could have
drove it out without much damage but used a strap to pull me out....I was'nt paying attention and that is the last
section of the trail..... :driving:

well......finally got around on taking a few shots of my toyota axle after it snapped...
it lasted quite awhile even with a year with 39.5 IROKS and a few trips with 42"s swampers..
it bent then twisted the end off near the Locker..... :headshake:

when it snapped it also took a chunk of the ring gear out......
i nursed it thru a week of johnson valley even with a busted ring gear..... :dunno:
a spare axle was used and worked without any problems..time for some BIG axles....

got the BIG axles almost ready to go.............
decided on a 9"ford style from Currie ent....extreme duty housing....
35 spline 4340 chrome moly axles for some serious strength
5:83 r&p..spooled upw/explorer disc brakes.....

the axles are at least  1 1/2" in diameter....wont be breaking these anytime soon... :shake_head:

had to upgrade the rear suspension as well....whats a 9" without coilovers..?
still will be running a 4 linked rear but will be using the sway away 14" coilovers..
hope to have it all done by july....... :beerchug:
