My truck as it sits right now.  Pull the front axle apart.  found nothing else broke.  Axles are ok, birfs are ok.  Detriot looks good, but we all now it is broke.  Still have to replace the broken steering arm stud.  Haven't decided what to replace the detriot with yet.  I am thinking either a welded carrier or an ARB.  If i do an ARB then it will be awhile before i can get the money so i am leaning towards a welded carrier.

i love the dirt work bench thats what i get to work with too :beerchug:

It's at a buddies house, i didn't want to take up the garage for a week or two.  :)  Not that bad, just don't lay greasey parts in it.

WheelinBabe

bradley, that looks like a fun project.. can't wait to help, until then... SUCKA! :rofl2:

Will need to move the back hoop around the cab back so we can X-brace. What about getting rid of the blinkers and reworking the front bumper? :flamer:

We can do that.     I only have one blinker anyway, don't need them anymore.

Na, doors are gonna stay, they protect me.  Little sluice is nasty and can bite at your legs if you don't have some protection there.

i put a bar across from the front fender brace, to the back of the cab, it protected me well

Hyena

I would like to put my full doors back on though when winter hits.  Its gonna be cold.

Hyena

wht about around the moonroof?  which of these or something else?

crawlerdan

top one, but id put a bar through the middle, just in case, i had almost that same design :shhh:

Hyena

i wanna be able to put the moonroof back in.  some more which to go with?  i am thinking the top one.

Dont weld the front.  It'll be the last time you do it and you'll be replacing shafts and birfs much more.   Plus you'll have the lovely NON steering rig with no hydro assist on there. ;)

Grab an open carrier and toss a lockright in it.  If you break it its $25 for springs and pins.  Plus when you have the money for an arb you can sell the lockright.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Hyena

James has welded front and it isn't bad.  i would rather break axles or birfs rather then have to pull the whole front end out again.  I have lots of spares.

WHITE_TRASH

You'll need them....  I ran welded in the front ONCE.  Never again.

I think we should build something like one of these two. You would be the BADEST dude in the box.  :flamer:

I like those ones too.  And tube doors just add more weight plus takes longer to build.
