damn your truck looks amazing. do you plan on putting duals in or do those 4.7's get the job done good enough?

Hyena

I have a dual ultimate so duals and a 4.7.  I love it soo much.  I had just the duals for about a year.  Added the 4.7 about a month ago and love it soooo much.

I got someone in mind.

Anyway.  I measured the rear u-bolt plates and they are 3/8's.  Ordered the pipe for my front fender protection.  20 feet of 1 1/4 sch 40.  I have a friend with a pipe bender and he said i can use it.  My plans are in the pictures.  they are just rough paint sketches, but you know what i want to do.

Hyena

last one.  the fenders will also be cut more.  the old round bar will be cut off.

If you dont have anyone riding up with you up to the con I could help pay for gas and food if I could hit you up for a ride. Havent been up there for a couple years since moving up here and am dying to go.

Sure.  Actually my friend did most of the work on my sliders.  that was last year before i new how to weld.  But, if we have a chop saw, grinder and a welder we can build them easily.  i payed about $80 for the metal.  2x2x.120 wall.  bought 20 feet and used about 18 feet of it.

Looks like it will be cool, not too overboard

I did plan on going over to a friends house and start bending the pipe.  but it has been raining all day.   :(

Hyena

With the 2 inch blocks that replaced the 4 inch blocks.  Doesn't look that bad.  Just a little bit lower in the back.  and also cut the front fenders more to get ready for the pipe.  Camera still fuzzy.

oddball

I think the cameras fawked, its sharp to the right

norcalyoter

did you make your rear bumber can we see some more pics of it? and is that just some round bar on there?

Hyena

Yes, i did make the rear bumper. The brake light protector is just like 3/4-1 inch solid round bar.  I bent it with a torche.

Hyena

Here is the thread on how i made the rear bumper.

picked up some metal for a trail driveline today.  1/4 inch thick.  35 inches for $9.  Also got some 2 1/2x3/8x44'' today for some longer shackles. The shackles are gonna be about 8-9 inches eye to eye.  Right now my shackles are 6 inches eye to eye.  Hopefully they will lift the rear 1-2 inches.  Im gonna move the double shackle mount forward a bit for a better shackle angle.  and almost done with my spare tire carrier.  BTW, camera is still fawked.

Hyena

How i am going to clamp the rim to the carrier.  I need to make a big wing nut to tighten the plate.  the last pic is how i am going to mount the carrier to the bed.  I am going to notch a hole for the two tabs on one side to go into.  then the other side will be bolted somehow.  I haven't figured that out yet.  I also might add a few other reinforcements later.  tomarrow i will work on the shackles.  hopefully finnish everything by next thursday before we head out wheeling.
