where can i get a res.   or i don't have to have one if i put a cooler on?

Im pretty sure you just gotta get a 3" diameter piece of ehaust, cut your stock res in half above where the return line is on the stock res. Then put as much of the exhaust pipe in between the two halves of the stock res. as you can fit under the hood.

I have heard of people not needing a bigger res. only if there cooler is big enough to keep the pump  from whining. If you do go with a diff. res. I have read that the res. always has to be in a higher location than the pump.
Hope that helps.

i cut the bottom off one resivour and the top off the other and welded them together. run the ports on the lower res and weld up the ports on the top res.

Na i did give the old one a lil rock rash. But this is an extra I had made. It is the correct length for when i put my duals in and has a high angle CV. Its about 7"s shorter than stock. I had it made before i put mycrawl box in because my crawler is also my DD and i cantr afford to have down time longer than a weekend. So when i throw in my duals i will all ready have a rear DL to throw in and GO!! I dropped off my front today to have it lengthened too. If all goes well he should have it done by friday. Im hopin to put my crawl box in one day after work this week!!

Re: Swapped89 got my duals done!
« Reply #192 on: Mar 11, 2010, 09:26:41 AM »
Got my duals in last night! Did some slow ass 2wd burnies in the garage, lol. Drove her to work this mornin and everything is great. I'll post some pics after work tonight maybe a vid of the "burn" out. I have had a single case with a dual case cross member for a while so the output part of the t-case was always resting on the crossmember making all the lil noises very annoying. But now with the duals it's like new again, I love it!
