yeah it makes me think of that too!    you could go up more but i probly would'nt.  just trim the fenders! unless you dont want to.  I always try to build my rigs as low as i practically can.

4x4yota

yeah deffinately keep it low... not going to trim anymore than I already have... but I will prolly just install a front drop hanger to kind fix the pinion angle on droop and to help clear a lil mor room but no more than 1" total more lift

is there anything I need to do to prepare my truc for 37s with out spending to much money... I have been told that I need to tighten my wheel bearings and upgrade my rotors to FJ40 vented rotors and when I install my IFS rear I will have the larger rear brakes to help

I have never heard anything about tightening your wheel bearings, but I guess you could check em. as far as the brake setup goes you will want fj60 vented rotors, not 40 rotors. Then if you are going to install those rotors you will also need a pair of v6 ifs brake calipers to go with them. And once you install those calipers and your ifs rear axle with the bigger drums, you will then want to install a bigger brake master cylinder to handle the extra volume. Then another excellent upgrade is to install a larger brake booster. I got one off of a 96 v6 4x4 T-100. Its bolts directly in place with no mods needed.  I have done all these brake upgrades on my rig and it stops better with 37's than it did when i had stock tires on it!

drives no prob with the 37s I expected more power loss but all I notice is I actual use my gears not just switch thru them lol... I also notice more bump steer really need a steering stabilizer now never even crossed my mind with 32s... wish I had a front drive shaft so I could go play with the 37s

ok so I got an offer for the 37s and I might take it and go for dual cases instead and build up to being able to run big tires, right now it would take to much triming and lifting and moving things around...that and this make me think 35s are the biggest Id be happy with... I feel I need to regear, beef up my axle shafts, and hack up the body to much

did that extra case layin around influence your decision?

4x4yota

I got thinking what could I do if I did sell the 37s what would I use the money for, then I thought duals its something Ive always wanted and I do have an extra case around I would just need the adapter and a crossmember and with the extra money I could save it to spool my rear end

getting your rear drive line shortened should be under $100 and you could make a square front out of your old one

well the guy backed out on the deal... decided he wanted a 17" wheel with 37s instead... so I guess Im keeping them and just make them work and save up for duals...

moved my axle back 1" today and it made a big difference now the 37s dont rub when I drive... aslo was able to get my stock dhaft to work temperaley til I can get one made... at ride height its 23", full compression the dhaft neededs to be 22" and at full droop its 27" (thats 5" of slip needed+ some to still mak contact to drive) but my dhaft I have now is 19.5"C 25"E so I need to ether shorten my 84/85 dshaft 24"C 28.5"E or find one from a parts yard with a longer slip and build a custom shaft... any one know what other cars/trucks have longer slip dshafts at least 7-8" of slip

only rubs when I steer and that tire is compressed other than that the only complant I have is I need a better front drive shaft and bump stops maybe 1-2" more lift... prolly gonna get a front spring drop hanger then a 1" block in the rear and maybe a 1" body lift or even a .5" body lift

so I bought a 2" body lift and see how that goes and if its to much Ill just cut it down... Id rather not mess with my front suspension since I already have it the way I like and Im waiting to do 63" chevies in the rear but still no more than 5" of total lift (3"susp/2"body)

yeah they are 4.56 V6 3rds been running them for about 5-6 months... if I could find a 4cyl 3rd with 4.56 for less than a spool that would be awesome or a cheap V6 spool
