It matters a little for sure. But did you fill the shock when they were fully extended or when the truck was at ride height.

So you have a 16" shock, with a 200/300=120lbs spring rate, 2"s of helper and 8"s at ride ht. Which means the truck is compressing the shock only 6". So each corner then weighs (120*6=720lbs).

Crap, you could have gone 150/250

Ya I filled them fully extended.  720 sounds about right for front corner unsprung weight. I think its gonna ride good.

TacoRunner

I know Im at 700 per corner, but I've also got a 3rz, heavy bumper and winch.    Speaking of, do you have plans for bumper and winch?

ya i have plans for a winch, ill mount it soon.. its just sitting in my garage. as for a bumper i wanna just do 1.75 tubing and probably have it similar to what callen has on his runner.

Clean Taco, too much tire. Sadly the story of Central VA, every other Taco is lifted pointlessly. No one off roads here. If you go on the sale forums, if it's not 2wd and lowered, it's jacked up 3 feet with monster truck tires. Good news is they go for cheap. I may end up doing exactly this, buying a bro-coma and putting it back to stock height / wheels. Still cheaper than the stock ones here.

getting a lot done. winch is in, power steering is all done. it only lags bellow 1100rpm, anything above that and its legit so i think it will be fine. rest of the wiring is done. my switches are all in and done. (york/rock lights/and other :pokinit:) front brakes are all done, i got a line lock that im pretty stoked on, mounted it where the stock e brake goes. went with all custom stainless braided (19ft of it) for all that and every fitting it was only 150$ from a local guy in chico. it would have been 100$ for regular oem lines so it was totally worth it. ran the line right through the fire wall in the cab to the line lock then out the bottom plug in the floor board right above my link. half my exhaust is done.. forgot to take picks, ill get them later im in a hurry. fired the truck up everything seems great. transfer case gears make a super gnarly sound when im in 4wd high range above 2nd gear. i think its just gear chatter since there's nothing but a front driveline hooked up, no load on anything (seems like its coming from my mc chromo front output area). dont know what else it could be i know i installed everything right. and also drilled and tapped the lid on my tg steering reservoir, used a zirk fitting.. just drilled out the ball and spring so its now a vent.

Just kidding man. I guess there is, its your bed

-Matt-

ya, its was only 45$ shipped. (its a Jamar line lock) you don't want an electric one because they are usually only for short periods of lock (for drag racing guys) and will drain the battery if you wanna use it as an e brake. this shouldn't ever bleed off either.

you press the pedal, hold the button, and let off the pedal. then to unlock it all you do is press the pedal. totally worth 45$ imo. plus you can plumb it where ever you want, either front or rear.

ToYocRawleR

Damn that's bad ass! I've been trying to figure out my e brake situation on the 4 runner and this seems like a great option especially for the price!

have you bled your brakes yet?  I have a similar set up and for some reason no matter how many times i bleed them they still aren't right.  Just wondering if you had to do anything special to get them to work.  Truck looks great by the way.

-Matt-

no i havent bled them yet. the rears still not done. thats weird are you sure its your line lock? or did you change a whole bunch of other things at the same time, meaning it might be something else..?

ToYocRawleR

So what spring rates r u running?  Im trying to figure out which rate i should run on my runner.

He is running a 200/300. Which is a touch heavy if you ask me.

It is something else.  Just not sure what.  I'm running the same master which I have replaced twice.  Bench bled both time and also replaced both wheel cylinders in the rear axle.

ToYocRawleR

updating this thread---

everything's done on the front end besides the winch switch panel inside the cab. ill post up a shot once that's here and done. besides that im ready to start on the rear very soon. i made my own coolant and windshield washer reservoirs. machined a cap that first the standard oem caps. they hold about 18oz, which is just enough. i didnt have any room for the winch box so i took it apart and mounted the solenoid under the hood, also wanted to keep the original control plug-in so i mounter that on the core support, its all really low pro which its nice because the boxes are way over sized in my opinion. also added some simple core support
