finally got over it and started tearing the truck apart. transmission is out. along with all the exhaust. put the new flywheel and clutch in tonight. tomorrow im gonna cut out the original tranny mount and make my own. im not working tomorrow so i figure i aught to have the whole tranny/duals and built crossmember in and finished by tomorrow. trying to get this part done that so that i can cut the whole front of the truck off.

-Matt-

ill post here first, don't have any pics yet. but if anyone wants to buy...im selling my rear 4.10 elocker axle complete, the t case from my truck (electric actuating 4wd). my 35" mtrs and wheels (2 with about 60% tread and 2 with 40%). and the whole lift front and rear. im gonna try and get 500$ for the axle. 450$ for wheels and tires. 200$ t case. and 300ish for the lift. (lift needs a little tlc but wouldnt cost much to make it good)

-Matt-

well everything's ready to go in. thought id check to make sure the adapter fits to the tranny.. and sure enough i got the v6 one instead of the tacoma one. i remember when i bought it they didn't have any of the tacoma ones in stock. i must have got confused and ordered the wrong one. either way i have no idea what im gonna do. its already been installed so i dont know if inchworm will swap me out for the tacoma one or not. either way heres some pics

tranny and bell housing are the same but the tail housing is whats different. different looking and completely different pattern. technically i could put a v6 tail housing on mine and it would work out but that's my last resort.

Dingman.

you wont have to go that route matt, im gonna order the one you need hopefully tomorrow if i can get ahold of inchworm.  Marlin is sold out.

-Matt-

cool thanks mike. are you even sure that inchworm has one in stock?

Dingman.

Ill have jess double check tomorrow.  I believe they did but its possible someone was thinking of the one you already got.

-Matt-

alright sounds good just keep me updated. dont bother calling me though till you get a new phone haha that things a POS.

Dingman.

Its a brand new htc inspire.  Piece of garbage..   it worked excellent during the 30 day trial.  Figures

yota_krawler

I called inchworm and made 100% sure they knew what I was wanting. I got the part number and gave it to mike. They said they have quite a few just no inputs. Either have to buy OEM from poly or TG from daves off road.

Hey Matt, I might be interested in those tires and wheels. I have to see how my $$ situation plays out after rent. I'll let you know as soon as I figure it out. Do you know what the back spacing on the wheels is by chance?

-Matt-

ok sounds good dude. just let me know im not quit sure what the backspacing is at the moment. its like a happy medium though... they dont stick out super far but they do a little. just look back a few pages there are some pics of my truck that might give you a good idea. the only thing they need is a quick wire wheel and a new spray paint job. they are actually really nice thick aluminum wheels, but i spray painted them black cuz i didnt care for the chrome. they held up really well but started getting scratched up from snow wheeling. also just got them re-balanced a month before i drove to moonrocks so they ride nice.

-Matt-

thanks to mike i got the right adapter a day ago so i was able to finish putting everything in this evening. i can move on to other things now. specs on the drive train. new clutch/flywheel, inchworm tacoma adapter, 23 all throughout, marlin hd r10 adapter. marlin 4.7s, longfield chromo rear output, marlin chromo front output, and the cross member was custom cut out from 1/2" plate. everything is 100% flat belly.

86bobbedtoy

thats sweet!
gotta love the duals

i think i read one inch a page or two back...

very nice truck. its coming together nicely. the more i read tacoma builds(solid axle or long travel) the more i want one. probably couldn't get rid of my first gen though. keep up the awesome work.

-Matt-

i was originally a 3" but i cut it down to a 1" body lift. basically cut the ends of both sides of the puck so its a solid one inch spacer.

-Matt-

just finished cutting the frame off before it got dark. all the transmission is done excepts for a few details inside the cab for appearance. i wasn't sure what i needed to cut out of my console but im happy i only lost one cup holder. inner fenders are getting cut out tomorrow. i already have all the wires and lines moved off them so they are all ready to get cut out. oh ya and everyone should own a plasma cutter, i just got one before i started this and its been one of the best tools to have when working on this kind of stuff.

Dingman.

Oh Damn.. totally would have stopped by to help.  Just trying to drive as lil as possible. Who knows when mine is about to grenade.  You gonna get some stuff done tomorrow?

86bobbedtoy

WOW
lol nice
