I used vinyl door flaps for mine lol. Works good and the cops leave me alone, i suppose conveyor belt is the same idea. also there just soft flaps so they move when you have to squeeze between rocks or trees which i like quite a bit because in NE its all about the trees.

I have seen garden edging also but the rubber jc whitney ones are ok..... if yea get the reinforced ones (they have a steel bar around the lip) you can bend um still and they will go back ususally no problem..... either way i hate flares/mudflaps, they are way to expensive for something thats just gona get ripped off eventually....  AND damn, a rock that gets chucked by a tsl is gona be huge, even my 80 year old grandma could swerve if she seen a tenis ball sized boulder coming toward her
Those are some huge welds!

Most of the time its just how picky the cops want to get.  Some towns/counties are very picky.  Especially, if they are trying to generate revenue.

Make sure its a flare ticket, sometimes the cops say and point to flares, then use the code violation for flares, look it up and make sure your not sweatin the wrong job.
