the early celicas did have efi on the "early" style 22R head, but it wont work on a 20R head unless you do some MAJOR porting and hole drilling on the 20R head and the efi intakenow you could find a 90-95 4 cylinder chevy engine with the TBI injection and do thatalthough i think you would need a custom adapter to attach it to the 20R intake
Get the LC engineering adapter and run a 22r carb on the 20r intake manifold, it'll work well. I have a weber 32/36 on my hybrid and don't care for it at all. And I don't have a link, but I have a thread floating around from a few years ago about efi on a hybrid/20r intake
Unfortunately yes. If I thought I was going to run a carb or 4 banger for a long time I'd buy the lc adapter and rebuild a 22r carb, but I'm hoping to eventually go efi, swap in a buick v6 and maybe even inject it.
I run a 38dgas weber, starts fine, runs like a raped ape on the road, runs like when off camber/ crawling though
The main problem with the weber is , after a trip to town 25mi. one way on restarting it floods bad.
Are you pumping it? I only pump the gas on a cold start on mine, the rest of the day I just turn the key and it starts in about 1/2 second pretty much every time. This is for warm weather though.
