Are you planning on making the airbags functional?  Oh, and what seats are those Russell?  They kinda look like lexus Rx300 seats.

The bags were pulled. i doubt they would do much good anyways and after setting off bags out of the car and seeing how much damage then can do i really dont want that in front of me while wheeling. I may have one in the steering wheel but it wont be wired to anything and i wont have the seatbelts that are set off by the bags either.

The seats are from an acura cl but they dont fit all that well.

Beauty is in the eye of its beholder or something like that.

Sometimes i think i messed up the truck by doing all this. I just hope that it drives ok with the sas and its not a horrid ride. I guess we will see.

The ride wont be too bad, just a little bouncier. My 85 rides great on the highway or around town, just cant go as fast on the rough roads. Thanks for posting up the fatmat link, just did 100mils the inside of my 4runner and it is lexus quiet!

Lol im sure you will! After starting it and letting it run today and bleeding the coolant and powersteering im feeling a bit better about it. No CEL, eveything worked and the heater was super warm(compared to the maxima) and it idles nice and smooth. I should get to drive it on the trailer this weekend and bring it back to town for the windshield to be installed and can drive it a bit to get plates and stuff.

Sweet!!! That makes me feel much better. I rode in a local guys 3rz and SAF 4runner the other day and i noticed it was bouncy on the road where the snow was clumpy and rough but on the highway and in town it was nice.

Thanks guys. Tomorrow will be major wrench fest at the shop. Were going to get everything finished up so i can drive it on to the trailer and bring it back to town. I plan on having the windshield installed and put it on the road as a daily ASAP but taking a few days to go over to my buddys workshop and build the door pannels, Speaker box stuff, Its gotta make a stop at Addicted Offroad for a new front bumper, New tires, and alignment and finish buttoning up some small pieces in the bed. When time allows spray a tailgate and have it all LineXed...man im so close but so far away!

It moves...I had an issue the first run out...The battery wasnt taking a charge and it died as nate sent me in to the deep snow...After that it drove it again and it worked out great. I still have downpipe and stuff to finish up and glass/door latches to put on but it should be my daily by the end of the week.

It should come down a bit i think...New springs, no weight inside or in the bed....If not it will be like everyother lift i have done on the truck...Taller then its supposed to be. My bracket lift was 6inches rather then 4 even with relaxed Tbars and this is 4inch leafs up front and 5 in the rear.

I may look in to that if it all works out. It kinda seems like i may see a little rubbing at full compression once the leafs brake in. Im on 36/12.5's and pushed the front axle forward but it still doesn't seem to be enough. Im not 100% sure tho.

dont worry from what i'v seen those TG springs will flatten out in no time

Russell_G

I think they will be fine The people i have talked to have had good luck with the springs. The rear needs to come down a bit so im going to put shorter shackles on it and reset the pinion angle once everything is where its going to ride daily....Plus im thinking i will ditch the topper and just wait on my can back/soft topper. I like the look with out it a lot more then i do with it.

Thanks man, I figure you have ran them for a while and wheel a lot more then i do on harder trails so i should be ok. I started to think twice about it with all the talk but after seeing the marlin leafs in action and seeing how long they last it may just be after market leafs not lasting that long. The other truck i put together was on marlin springs for less then your truck has been on the road. Not wheeled near as hard and had a bad pack so it has to be how they are cared for and how you wheel..this guy was a tool and the truck was rigged pretty good when my friend got it.
