Were still trying to figure out if were going to go that far with them. Most people i know that are in to swaps just want the full harness to cut in what they want. We can offer dash swaps and dash swap advice to people who want it and even factory sheet metal sections. Our motor swaps come with the tacoma battery trays and fuseblock mounting tabs for a factory look(same thing i did in mine)

Factory brackets out of the taco

No new pics but this weekend Nate and i busted out all the lines for brakes, fuel and some body stuff...Then today Trent came up with nate and he taught me how to do the steering shaft. and got my PS lines to work. I have to cut and flare the main feed line for the fuel and have a new hose made to reach the other side of the truck and get some other line for stuff like the evap(have to add it or CEL even tho i dont want it) set pinion angle and pretty much button up everything. Its all easy stuff i can do while the shafts are being made. Dash will take an hour or so, Doors maybe an hour, Seats a few minutes battery, Fluids and stuff....I might be driving it for Xmas after all.

I had a question about the fatmat, do it cause any interior smell? Ive heard about some of the cheaper dynamat- like products that cause a tar smell when it gets hot outside. Im about to order 160sqft of fatmat 80 mil for my 4runner in the 115 degreed heat of az, just want to know for sure!

I have not had it smell in any of the cars or trucks i have installed it in. The green truck we used almost the full 160sqft and it sat out for 2 weeks closed up and all i could smell is the new carpet. Its not Tar based like the cheap stuff at home depot people use. Its the same as all the higher end stuff but its not name brand so they are trying to get in the market...I used a heat gun on mine and stuck it down and had seeping edges and still havent smelled it.

I layed it on fresh paint so it was clean and used a heat gun....I dont see it peeling anytime soon. I think as long as you clean it and press it on well enough you wont have an issue.

For a headliner maybe some jute padding with a rubber over it(same as the floor factory but they had rubber backed carpet)
you could glue jute padding on and thenthrow a bow in liner in like stock

Got a battery in it lastnight, Everything worked first try. Cranked it over but it died right away due to no gas tank. All the lights, Heater, Signals... Now to put the dash in, Seats in, Driveshafts, tank and button up all the wiring.

Great job Russell!  I like checking out this thread every now and then to see the progress, and it doesn't disappoint.  I'd love to have the area, time and money to do the same with a 1st gen.

Thanks!

Scotty from Addicted offroad came by and we sorted out the drive flange issue i had lastnight. I have the front one in but he took the rear shaft to match up a flange.

Fuel line is reflared and i measured it so i can have one made tomorrow.

Got the dash dyed and put in and test fit the seats....Im now looking for different seats cause the Ones i have are too tall and too bulky but man are they comfy. Im on the hunt for clean black leather GSR seats and i will just put my heaters in them. I think its a good answer and still have a nice leather seat.

Pics will be up later tonight i hope. Im going to get it going this week cause the maxima is starting to poop out. The tranny is flashing codes and stuck in 3rd lastnight so i left the battery off all day and i hope it was just a glitch.
