Wicked wacked out cross member man,, i dig it though.. Looks good and those shocks are lookin mighty chrome my friend.. HA HA Right on that will be tight when your axles get here, it will finally start lookin like its not float n in your garage anymore..Ya order up your other shocks (Poly Performance) and your link ends and stuff and get started on the fun part of the build dude.. Works looking great and your makin good progress. you will make it before full summer gets here and be wheel n in no time.. Oh and all the pics are there but one of them. think its the first one!! I have to click on it for it to open other wize its just blank white at me..

poly performance eh? is that where jason orders stuff? i am gonna ask him first if he has any shocks he wants to sell before i order some.

Isn't the rear offset? Are you just gonna run it that way?

Either way it's going to be a lot beefier than mini axles. I've been looking at getting an 80 series front myself.

yes they're offset to the pass side. and if his gas tank isnt in the stock location... it will not be a problem.

yeah THK is right, they are offset, not very much though. I will no longer be running the stock fuel tank, so its not a problem

My bad, I saw the fuel cell but didn't put two and two together. The 80 series rear ends are super strong, so I wanted to know how you were going to run it. Then I saw the fuel cell and 4 link. Anyway, keep us posted with the updates. Really want to see how it turns out

thats alright man! yeah the 80 series rears are huge! cant go wrong with a 9.25 ring gear, full float axles and disk brakes!! (i think its a 9.25 ring gear

I think it's a 9.5" ring gear. It's the other common toyota ring gear besides the 8". I've been looking at a lot of info on 80 series axles lately. Good thing you went with 17" wheels too. You should have no problem clearing those huge brakes!

yeah thats probly what size it is. I was thinking a long time ahead when i bought the 17" wheels, cuz i knew that someday i wanted to swap to 80 series junk.

I just ordered my other pair of fox 2.0 air shocks off of ebay. got em brand new for 430 shipped, pretty good price!

Looks like i should be getting all my joints and averything for the link setup within a couple days. Jason out at Twisted Customs has a bunch of lightly used and leftover misc. stuff from building buggies that he is gonna give me a good deal on

yeah it would be nice to get some work done soon, but i got like three jobs lined up for part-time stuff! Its good though cuz i ordered my tube bender on monday and it will be here next monday!! stoked for that man! I have some cagework to do on a cj7 and a cherokee, then TJ wants me to do front and rear bumpers and rock sliders and skidplates on his 4runner.

I also picked up the joints for my front and rear lower control arms. In the first pic are 1 1/4" Jimmy Joints. They are fully rebuildable and adjustable. The threaded shaft is 1 1/4" diameter and they use a 3/4" through bolt. They cost about 90 bucks each new, i got these for 40 bucks each. They will be mounted at the frame end of the link. in the second pic is weld-on Jonny Joints made by Currie. They are also rebuildable and adjustable. I got those for 30 bucks each and they will be welded onto the axle end of my lower links. For lower link tubing i will be using 1 3/4" O.D. - 1/2" wall DOM. I still have to get all the stuff for the upper links and panhard and steering, but all of that stuff will use 3/4" heims with 1 1/4" O.D. 3/8" wall DOM.
