i will have a back seat eventually,  probly not going to try to use the stock one.  i will find a bench seat thats a bit smaller to put in there

I wanna to show you my pretty clean looking 4runner but cant figure out how to put pictures on here it says there to big. Ive been following your build the whole time im a big fan, your work is awesome you can tell you now what you doing.

probly no tailgate, wont be carrying the spare on the truck either, its gonna stay on the trailer.  the rear area will have the fuel cell, battery, and an area to carry my reciever mounted winch.  then i will probly build a removeable cargo basket over top of that stuff for tool bags and whatnot.  there will be sheetmetal going up right behind the rear seat that will seal against the fiberglass top somehow.  im, not sure how thats all gonna come together but i do want to keep the passenger area seperated from the back cargo area

im planning on doving the top just like i did to the body.  i already completely cut out the two rearmost windows so the top will only be long enough to cover the back seats.  I am going to make some kind of lexan rear window or something like that and put it on the top so the top will seal against the sheetmetal i am putting up behind the rear seats.  It will look kinda like a chevy avalanche i guess

I got some more pics for you guys.  the first ones are of the custom upper steering arms i am building so i have a strong double sheer surface for the tie rod.  i still have to put a few gusetts on them to be finished up.  the other pics are of more detail of the rear dove.... there are a few people asking about that!

so today i got a few gusetts welded in on the rear 4 link.  i put in two on each side of the crossmember that the links attach to, then i also welded one in on the rear axle.  i need to make a template and cut out another one for the other side.  i also got all of the hydro steering stuff tacked in place, ram, reservoir, and orbital valve all in place.

it might be too wide because the top will be narrowed, but thats a good idea.  I kinda dont like how small the back windows are on the first gens though
