right on man, I quit smokin 2 and a half years ago and dont miss it at all... I didnt notice how much it screws up your lungs until I climbed the same 16000ft mountain in colorado that I do every year. stick with it, its worth it especially when smogs are $7 a pack

Campfire Girl quit cold turkey, one day Rocks for brains asked her to quit because he didn't want her to die. I really hit home he was 4 yrs. old and her dad had COPD and was slowly dying which is what he was referring too. She quit the next day. Me I've never smoked, and I'm glad.

Go DAVE !!!!!

You can do it. Your already past the physical addiction stage, so now it's just a mental thing (which of course can be the toughest). It does get easier as time goes on. I've got some good strategies to help if you're struggling, give me a call and I can give you my "stop smoking" schpeeel.

My wife smokes & when she coughs I tell her to go smoke another one cause she is getting too much fresh air intake. She's not a quiter but a stop for a while then start again. I hope it work for you.

Good luck  :crossed:

I quit a bit over ten years ago a 2pack a day habit. Been smoking for 25 years.  I had a bad cold and could not breath air without coughing up a lung.  I made the first two weeks and decided to just not smoke anything today. Been doing this now for a bit.
Don't quit quitting!  :)

Looks like you got lotsa support here Dave.  :beerchug:  I'm with them, I hope you can succeed at you goal here.  Maybe you should go wheeling more after your rig is done so you can keep the conscious thought of quitting out of yer head.  :gap:

ok, besides the whole, i like you and the longer your around the better stuff, look at it this way- Marlin bumper=sweet
6-7$ per packX5(just for kicks)packs a week=30-35$ a week(now a tank of gas in the runner)
4 weeks in a month X 35$ =140$ month (two months and you can get tube doors)
12 X 140$= 1680$ a year (NEW BIG A** TV)
and of course, you know, you will be around to enjoy these things longer
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
