:dunno: if I mentioned it before, but I had a friend who's dad quit smoking, he started chewing on those cinammon sticks (the real ones, looks kinda like a leaf rolled up).  Said it really helped.  :dunno:

Yes, definitely keep up the resistance.  A buddy of mine smoked so much the my truck would wreak of it after he got out, and he never even smoke in it.  he also tried quitting several times, just because than after each of his two kids were born.  What finally got him to quite for good and never go back was seeing his uncle riddled w/lung cancer and die.  He was close to his uncle and said seeing like that was the only reason he needed to quit and every time he has come close to smoking he just looks at a pic of his uncle near the end, and it scares him straight.

One other motivation for you.  My mom started smoking when she was 12(1952), never was more than a pack-a-day at the height of her smoking, and most of the time she would get about 3 drags from a cig, and the rest of the time it just burnt up in the ashtray.  In Oct. of last year she was diagnosed w/small cell lung cancer(short term life expectancy), it can't be cured, only delay death for about 6-12 months w/chemo.  One year tends to be the average, some get 2 and very few have ever seen 5yrs.    We always figured that she would end-up with some early warning signs, before she got cancer, she didn't, even her primary doctors couldn't believe it since they never heard anything wrong with her lungs, it just hit her all at once.

Good luck remaining smoke free.

Bro, I feel your pain, trying to quit myself. But I am doing the smoking less before I drop it completely. And being over seas I have cut back ALOT. Went from almost a pack and a half a day to half pack a day or less. Kinda weird cause it is boring over here  ::) Think it would be the opposite. But if the wife and I quit we are getting a RV.  :biggthumpup:So that's a major incentive to quit  :yesnod:

Dave I'm proud of you.  I've seen how hard it is to quit and I'm  to you because I know it's tuff and you're sticking through it.  It was also big of you to walk out of the party rather than puch that :moon: in his dirty mouth.  I'm sorry some people think it's funny - it's not.

Keep up the crazy good efforts! It'll all be worth it in the long run  :smooch:

Don't get me wrong, I think smokers get screwed, If you want to smoke, smoke, and if you don't want to, don't.  But to go up to someone tht is trying to quit and pull :bull crap: like that is just f :lipsrsealed: d up.  Its not right, and it sure as hell isn't funny.

 good on ya though Dave, for being strong!
