4runner looks great, i am surprised to see how much flex and articulation it has with almost no clearance, well, the body is jsut really close to the tires

Thanks man! This suspension flexes insanely good... it had another 3-4 inches left in it before it would have lifted a tire. I had to stop because it rubs a bit in the rear. After I get back to phx tomorrow im going to trim the fenders and patch them up for the winter. Since my dshaft saw some abuse im gonna have a new one made and move the axle back an inch. Should put me around a 109in wheelbase.

The only problem I have with this suspension is how bad the front leaves twist and axle wrap, and the bumpy ride. The rear works great and will be even better with a trac bar

By the way, for anyone interested... these 37in km2's at 35psi perform better than my old 37in radial iroks at 8psi... these tires work very well and are very impressive!!

looks excellent Mike!  what springs do you have on the skinner, again?   I wanted a set of 40" km2's for my runner, but I dont have any sweet hook ups here in SD, and they were way to damn much brand new!  So what did the frat boys do to deserve a beating? lol

Im runnin rears up front and 63in chevys in back. Generic and cheap, but the flex good. I stil have the stock overload leaf on the rears, i might get rid of it and add a waggy leaf in the pack this week. Im gonna put some shorter shackles on the front as well. So far i have had 3 sets of km2's and i believe they are the best performing radial there is for rocks and highway use. The 17in tires are way too expensive though, my 37s were 317 each and i get a deal. They're like 370 normal! My old 35 15's were 200 each... lotta money for 2 inches!

These turds were knockin over street signs, so i told em to put em back up. They wouldn't, so i followed em and yelled at em for a minute, so a few of them went back and picked em up and the rest stood there and argued. Things calmed down so we shook hands then started walkin away and one of em kept mouthin off and daring me to fight, talkin :pokinit:, and pushin buttons then i ran up to him, he got in my face so i busted his head open in about 5 different places Haha. His buddy punched me in the back of the head while i was beating on his friend, so i went after him, then my buddy choked one of em out. The rest of the fruits ran away, it was 5 on 2 and the guy i leveled first was about 6inches taller than me. I landed about a dozen punches and a backhand pregnant dogslap between the 2 of em. I might have punched more than 2 of them, not sure, i blacked out once the fight started. I had blood all over my shoes and pants, so i guess i kicked someone too.. By the end 3 guys were bleeding, neil was chokin one out, and the rest ran away haha. They called the cops, then the cops called the medics cause they thought we were hurt, but we were just coverd in the other guys blood.... the cops and medics were both really cool, the cop asked if i wanted to press charges but i figured they got it bad enough. The medic was wonderin how i did so much damage and didn't have messed up knuckles haha.

The next day the left side of my head was a little sore, but judging by the amount of blood on my arms, hands, shirt, pants, and shoes, i think we won. I think fighting is pretty floppin dumb personally and i do everything to avoid it, but if someone is dumb enough to do what it takes to pick a fight with me, they deserve what they get...

oh thats right, I forgot you had the RUF/chevy setup.  Yeah tires for 17" rims are unbelievably more expensive.  Paying more for less rubber, doesnt make sense to me.  Sounds like the fight was a good time! lol

It was pretty fun, nobody went to jail so it was a great night haha.

wow, the last time I posted was my first day of school this semester. Since its my last day, its time for an update. Havent done much work on the rig, wheeled it a few times, but ive been too busy with school, work, and my new project to do much. I did however get the new fuel tank finished, its right around 30 gallons and slicker than goose :pokinit:.

Also, the intro to my next project... Chassis donated by 87pickup, its (you guessed it) an 87 pickup frame and a randy ellis design exo cage. Im making a buggy out of it, no toy sheet metal. I already picked up a kingpin dana 60 front, 14 bolt disc rear, and some 42 in iroks. Already have a 22re, w56, dual ultimate rotated cases, marlin rear springs, and allpro fronts. Enjoy!

My dad even calls mine the 4skinner haha anyways nice rig just thought it was funny that you built an exact clone of how I'm building mine runner!

Thanks man! Ill be around, give me a call

Nope, stock width. Its a dodge D60, so its 67.5 wms to wms. 2 inches narrower than a chevy 60, and the h2 wheels are 5 5/8 backspace. Juuust right! And thanks man!

Thanks guys!

Im thinkin about using a narrowed fj40 grill in front and designing the front end around that. Im going to order a 19x22 aluminum radiator and start mocking things up. Radiator will be slanted back, tube will be about 25in wide in front. I want this thing to look good, so I am gonna put some time into the front end. Ive seen quite a few buggys that looked great, but from the front look like somethin out of mad max... I wont have that :pokinit:...

Also, I wont be using the toy floor pan/firewall. The motor will be set back at least 5in from stock, so it would be pretty much pointless to try and use it...
