consider a revolver in the rear. it adds flex and you dont have to move your rear mount. with that set up u are talking about u will get between 4" and 6" of lift

Id like the extra flex but I'm only lookin to have 3"s of lift...I want to keep her low on 35's...I have the tendency to flop stuff over rubber side up, that and how streetable is the revolver? This thing will probly be on the road more than its off

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

How long of a shackle do you run with the revolver? Like a 6 inch or so?

Big PITA if it started out as a v6 truck.

Does anyone else think this will hard? I would think going from fuel injected to something carbureted would be easy..but I haven't done it before...id like to hear why it would be difficult?

I did this swap in an old rig. I swapped in a 22re and trann and t-cases (all 4cyl) I was stupid easy! You have to change the motor mount to fit the 4 cyl and move them in on the frame. the wiring harness is different but not hard to repin the connector and they plug together fine. dont waste your time with a carb, go fuel injected if you can.
and revolver shackles work ok most of the time, but they will unload at unopertune times. I have ran revolvers and double shackles both back when big flex was the cool thing... :gap:

The 22R won't be a super permanent thing....its just to get me up and running with having to mess with a lot of stuff for a while...later down the road when I have a shitload of money maybe ill do a 3rz swap or something that and the 22R I'm getting is a spankin deal that I couldn't pass up...is it super hard to convert from auto to 5 speed anyone?

Wow! Been a long time since I last posted and a lot has happened since then! Got my 22r it runs perfect(when I pulled it) since then I have started cleaning it up and I have already deleted for the most part all emissions and vacumm lines from this pig! I picked up a g52 tranny w tcase for a hundred bucks with crossmember and an 85 front driveline! It has less miles than the engine I'm using so it should be good for a while! Traded my 31s for a set of 35s...I don't like em cuz there 2 different pairs but they will work for now till I get something new. Finally I got a dana 44 out of a 78 wagoneer for the price of free! I think it will be awesome just contemplating wether or not to leaf spring it or try to home fab my very own 3 link setup? How hard is it to link the front? Anyone have tips and pointers on how to do so? And no don't really want to buy a kit thanks for any input, pics in the next day or so

So...small change in plans.....upon pulling out the v6 and auto I found I have a bit of tweaked up frame damage that I got to straighten before I SAS this thing. And I  need a new core support so everythings getting cut off from the firewall forward and ill be building a new front clip out of square tube to mount fenders radiator and headlights to. But before that I'm selling my 22r and 5 speed so I can buy my buddys tbi 350 and automatic and drop that in the runner! I think ill be very happy with the fuel injection and the power!
