I have a few updates on the 4skinner, mostly comfort stuff.

I got 100sq ft of fatmat rattle trap 80mil sound dampener in the mail yesturday, looks like good stuff! Its pretty thick, super sticky, and there is plenty of it... 67ft long and 18 inches wide all rolled out for $159 to the door!

The plan is to double thick the firewall trans tunnel and rear wheel wells, single coat all sides, tailgate, doors, floor, under headliner, and the backside of the rear panels. Im starting as soon as I finish this post

Ive come up with quite a collection of electric fans from the junkyard in the past few months, so I got busy on making one work. The one i decided on is a 99 volvo station wagon (850?) 2spd puller fan . Im going to make my own shroud out of sheet metal or aluminum and adapt it to a 3core radiator. I chose this fan becaise 1. its a 2 speed 2. it has matched relays for both speeds attached to it 3. it has a start cap on it and 4. because it pulls a :pokinit: TON OF AIR! I got an electric fan adjustable tstat to control low speed, and high speed will be controlled by my a/c compressor switch. I think this will make a good setup as it is simple and easy to hook up and the fan bolts into the shroud making it easy to adapt to my custom shroud. It is also easy to find replacments, and the fan motor is easily replaceable on the trail. I picked up 2 complete fan assemblies and relays/wiring harnesses for $26!

I also picked up a nissan pathfinder rear tire carrier I plan on adapting to my runner, a mid 90's 4runner map light assembly for the inside, and a sr5 shifter boot that is 3 laters thick. should help with keeping some road noise out!

I did a sweet 16 led dome light conversion too, its bright as hell!

The last time I was at the junkyard I was scoping out the Pathfinder rear tire carriers. I was wondering if I could make it work. Looking forward to seeing what you do with that. Also, got any pics of the LED dome light conversion? That sounds like a good upgrade... stock interior lighting sucks in the 4runners...

I moved the rear axle back 1 inch, then seein how much the sky spring hangers hang down made me decide to make a hanger frenched into the frame. should add 2 inches of clearance and lower my truck another inch. I trimmed my fenders out in the rear because I hate rubbing tires... looks ok, could be better, could be much much worse

I got the new smittybilt 8k winch for the front bumper yesturday, looks like a nice winch!

Im supposed to go pull a 3rz from an 03 tacoma with 90k this weekend. The lady wanted $2000, I offered $450 a few weeks ago and didnt hear from her. well guess what.. phone rang today! bellhousing to fan, pan to airbox, complete wiring harness, has a bigger tb and spacer on it too!

I don't know how i just noticed this Runner.  Awesome build!  I like how clean it is!  I have to admit i was actually getting nervous as this pics downloaded because you still don't have rock sliders!  Get some armor on that Runner boy, it's to nice to crunch up :D  It was kinda cool looking at those pics to, my parents lived in Cottonwood for years.

runner is lookin sick with the 37's!  looks like you moved the rear axle back more than one inch,  I moved mine back an inch and it doesnt look as far back as yours.   I'm thinkin i wanna do some of that fatmat after i bob and dovetail mine.  That will make it nice and cozy.  is the 3rz for the 4skinner or for your other crawler?

Weve gone out a few times, eric got a new rig and broke a rear dshaft and sheared hub studs up front a few months ago, then aaron broke a caliper off and just got it fixed. They were out for 2 months or so, seth just bought the iroks from my crawler and finished fittin em on his rig so all 3 of them are ready to go then I take my :pokinit: apart. Theres supposed to be a tm trip this weekend, but im sure the rain will kill that.

Im not sure how long my runner will be down for, might go ahead and start the 3rz swap if someone wants my 22re.

Definately not running the stickies on pavement, they are actually up for sale. 4 37 1250 17's for $1000, all about 80% with no sidewall wear, no plugs or patches. I also have a line on 40in trepador radials 70-80% $125 each if you know anyone who wants em
