A glimpse of my rear spring hanger. Plated then notched the frame, plates are 3/16's and 18'' long, the "c" is 3in id 1/4 wall tube cut almost in half. Should be 2-3 times as the stock frame was there and the spring will hang down about 3/4 of an inch below the frame rail. The spring is tucked up 2 3/4 higher than with the sky chevy spring hangers. I moved the axle back 1 1/4in, and inboarded 1/2in each side. My rear TG housing BENT from hardcore driveway use, so I sent it back and they sent me a new one. im going to top truss this one with american steel and use a piece of 1 3/4 .250 wall dom and some 3/4in heims I have layin around to make an anti wrap bar. Im not happy with my shock mount setup, so thats gotta go.

One side notched, ready for the hanger plates. Im really happy with how they came out, plasma cutters are sweet!!

See I used to think I wasnt poor white trash, then I looked at my house on google earth one day... Besides the 6 non running vehicles I own and the jungle growing in my back yard, The precise second the google earth camera van drove by and shot my house I happend to be out front bending over with my buttcrack hangin out next to 2 30 racks of coors light and a stack of hot pockets... and I was wearing a sleeveless shirt with bill dance on it... That I bought at walmart... in the sporting goods department... on sale... from the same walmart I just got home from buying the beer, hot pockets, and flip flops at... With half of my weeks paycheck and a fake id... And I wore the flip flops out of the store and forgot to pay for them becauase I had already been drinkin... at 10am.... on a wednesday... when I was supposed to be in high school...  :smack:

HARDCORE WHITETRASH DER... HA HA were all white trash, who takes there junk out and climbs over rocks and stuff. I can just walk over them and i didn't break anything and it's way cheaper..lol
Sometimes life is a rock an we need a Yota to get over it an Chevy is like a rock so I'm over it!!!

you might break your leg, then it would cost as much in medical bills as it would to build a yota!

well put... It doesnt make much sense to spend all your extra money building a rig just to beat the :pokinit: out of it on a trail that has nothing at the end of it.. But I will continue to do so every possible chance I get...

Didnt make any progress on the truck today, had to help a buddy out. Apparently neil couldnt afford a boat, so he took the next closest thing he had out to the river  :hammer:

The recovery went smooth, I went out and tried to pull him out in the chebby but the strap, non running truck, 4 foot deep water, and rediculous current did not mix well. We went back in the evening with aaron and seths rigs and winched him right out then towed him home on a trailer. On the upside his truck has all new fluids and he underside is spotless now! Once on dry land it started right up and drove on the trailer! yotas are the :pokinit:!!

Its crazy to think that on friday this river was 28 feet deep and 200 yards wide at this spot, flowing 48000cfs... to put it in perspective, a week ago sunday the river was flowing between 1 and 2 cfs... and thats not a type o, its about 4 inches deep averege. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?09512800 This last storm shatterd some serious records here in az, we got 8 months worth of rain in 5 days! Upriver saw as much as 9 inches of rain in addition to 12-18 inches of snow. The entire area around his truck, including where we are parked in the picture used to be jungle thick 20-30ft tall trees, they are all in the bottom of lake pleasant now! cant wait to see wat that trails look like...

WOW,Glad Neils trucks alright. You probably could have floated across in your rig with those Irok pontoons.

signguy

hey, it was fun, my truck needed a good bath the interior has never been this clean either  :gap: i actually made it across and was climbing up the other side when my truck died, either my distributer got wet or my tailpipe being under, and the current pulled me back in. pretty sucky. it was still fun though... ill try again this weekend maybe, i want to see the trails!

87pickup

If i have my bumper done by then i will head out there.

NITE KRAWLERS

It all looks way to fun. Wow thats a lot of rain man!

Been a while since Ive done an update. Did quite a bit of work on the skinner, new front spring hanger, moved the axle forward another 1.5 inches, built some pregnant dogin sliders, finished the frenched in chevy 63 hangers and put a longer shackle on the back to cure the sagass, converted the elocker to a cable locker with the downey kit, longfield hub gears, scored a set of 95% 37x14x17 irok radials for next to nothing, so those are on the rig now. Had to do some more trimming here and there, came out really nice. Got to wheel it yesturday for the first time on the new setup, ran predator and bent my trail jizz rear bumper up badly. No new body damage due to my sliders. Once I find my memory card I will post some pictures

On another note, I split a coolant hose on the way home yesturday. No spare parts with me, but I had tools. robbed the IAC hose and coverd the open vaccum holes with condoms. It got me home, and now my 22re will never get pregnant. I started looking around and several more hoses are lookin ripe.. 3rz swap is going to happen really soon!

3rz swap was pretty easy Mike. You should start it soon unless you like sweatin when you work.

post up the pics and get that swap done! ha ha

My garage has a/c :)

I still have to find a bellhousing, t100 oil pan, timing belt, motor mount brackets, and a header or new exhaust manifold. Oh and a :pokinit: ton of wiring... Know anyone who has an ors harness for sale? haha
