yup, that did it for me! I'm on borad.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

BLACKDOG

Nope.  I've seen enough of his commercials, gotten enough propoganda in my mailbox, and enough harassing phone calls.  I don't need to deliberately expose myself to more of the same.

I never got any calls, any mail but I did watch the show. I will say at this point he could do anything - people have made up their minds..

I've been getting propoganda stuff on a near daily basis in my mailbox, and I've got 20 calls on my home phone answering machine over the last month.  Lately they've been calling on my cell phone, got a call the other day at 3am!  I almost felt sorry for the caller when I chewed his ass out.  :gap:

I would take calls or mail over people stealing AND damaging my property. I don't care who you vote for but the fact that so many Obama supporters have taken it down to the petty level of vandalizing not only signs, but VEHICLES, on top of theft, inappropriate gestures, name calling, etc. just reinforces my belief that most people that are voting for him are uneducated and emotion driven individuals, who really don't know anything about their candidate of choice aside from what they saw on TV, or were told on a radio add.

I would never, ever even consider damaging someone's vehicle because it had an Obama sticker on it. Whoever anyone wants to vote for is up to them. But to think that they actually believe in their mind that they are doing the right thing by damaging my truck just shows the mentality of the people trying to get him into office. Personally, I'm not thrilled with either candidate, but once again it comes down to the lesser of two evils...

  a buddy told me about a call he'd had a few weeks ago the other day. Seems this kindly older fellow had a McCain/Palin '08 sign in his yard (one of the big 3x5' ones).  Well, apparently someone on his block had an issue with it, because it would get kicked down, and torn apart.  This gentleman was very persistent in his beliefs, and a day or two after the sign got knocked down, it was replaced with a new one.  The vandal however, seemed just as persistent, and continued his endeavors to encourage the man to vote for Obama by destroying the campaign sign.  Apparently, after replacing 5 signs, the older gentleman's patience was nearing its end, and when he placed the 6th sign in his yard, he just happened to leave a few cinder blocks behind it.

The Obama supporter saw yet another opportunity to attempt to get his point across, and decided that he was going to kick the sign down yet again.  He determined a head on approach was best, and went for the sign like a place kicker shooting for a 40 yd field goal.  With a full swing, his foot contacted the sign, and the cinderblocks behind it, breaking most of his toes, and several bones in his foot.  With the considerate and caring attitude of previous generations, the homeowner responded to the curses and cries of pain by calling 911 for the Obama supporter, and having the FD and paramedics come to his home, where they found the Obama supporter in the yard, crying in pain, curled up with his hands around his foot, cursing the homeowner.  It seems that his threats of suing the homeowner were going largely unnoticed, and they subsided after the homeowner informed him that he had the right to press charges for trespassing and vandalism, but if the young man would agree not to sue, then he would agree not to press charges.

it was a half hour of him discussing his plan, and it was ran on all networks I believe. He is only the second person (Ross Perot) to be able to afford to do this. You get a better feel in a complete half hour but then again of course it is all one sided. NO bickering though, all plan stuff. Meh, worth watching I guess but not ground breaking stuff.

He has a good TV persona, he spoke of building military, tax cuts for middle class, etc etc.

I agree that is a lot of money, but then I don't know the rules on campaign money either. Guessing you can't just put it toward the national debt but then maybe you can..

Its not so much keeping the guns, but purchasing new ones and ammo that are going to be affected.  Obama claims he supports the 2nd amendment, and gun rights, but he doesn't.  Go look and see what his history on voting for gun control is.  Pretty scary stuff.

Perhaps someone on this thread can explain something to me.
All i hear is obama /or mccain. Why is everyone so locked in to just these 2 parties. There are several others running for president and if change is what people want then why not vote for one of them.
The republican/democrate party/corporation is a 2 headed monster with each face wearing different makeup.
For real change make a change in the vote you cast. This applys to all political contests , not just the presidential race.
If you continue to vote for the 2 headed monster it will continue to gain power and Steel your power until you have none.

You raise a great point... researching the other parties would be a good idea. :outtahere:

Mostly because the majority people are afraid of who they perceive as radicals.  Be it libertarian, green party, whatever, those people signify a drastic change.  They talk about doing things the republicans and democrats get weak in the knees talking about.  We haven't yet experienced a person who had the charisma, drive, and reasoning to actually pull enough people to their side.

That is unfortunately what Barack Obama is counting on.  You, like millions of others will vote for him without having any clue what he believes in or knowing his positions on important inssues.

The Howard Stern show did an interesting test a few weeks ago on the general public in New York.  They interviewed people on the street that were going to vote for Barack Obama.  Then they were asked their opionions on his stance on several issues.  The people all agreed with that stance on every issue they were asked about.  The only problem was they were John McCain's stance on the issues not Obama's.  Obama's stance were just the opposite but the people had no clue whatsoever.     In other words, they believed in everything John McCain supports and Barack Obama opposes but were going to blindly vote for Barack Obama.
