so i went to marlin today to trade in some transmissions i had towards some 4.70 gears, which i was told they had in stock.
unfortunatly, they were all ordered earlier this week
so now the building of the transfercases is on hold till they get more in (might be a few months!) :(
anyway, ill continue to concentrate on the motor and cleaning up the grease ball.

one of them they didnt even want anything to do with, it was that bad. the other they gave me 50 bucks for. kinda dissapointing, but its either that or they sit in the yard. plus id rather do it that way than try to sell them to someone and have them come back pissed cause they were junk. i knew there were things wong with the one i pulled, but not to the point where they offered to melt it down for me, haha

i bet so too, except that involves work and hes not into that.
im hoping i can get the drive pulley off the old engine once i get the idler pulley. the new engine has a power steering pump but no pulley. once i get that switched around ill be ready to put the motor back in.

Do you need a power steering pump too or just the pulley?

just the pulley, the pump is there. i think the only way to get it off is to get the idler on and put a belt on it tight. at least thats what ive read so far. might be harder with the engine out tho :(

so hows the motor  going
i have the valve cover gasket, orings for the injectors and pilot bearing on the way. im trying to get the power steering pully switched, but i need the idler pullet, also on the way(thanks carlos  ). so im hoping to get the motor in in a week or so, depending on the time off work factor.
