Hollister was a good time, blew up and alternator, and my front axle is in band aid mode. not sure what all is wrong with it, i think i might have broke a birf, but i know for sure my steering is shot. time for Hi-steer, and maybe new axles. we shall see whats in the budget

Steering is probably bad because of the birf or bearing. Tear it down.

atleast i wont have to clean it up this time.
i need money for longfields :-)
and springs, hangers, shocks, hoops, and what ever else im gonna need to buy.

yea, longfields have lifetime warranty. im still weighing my options. i wish i could get my brother to go 60 and sell me his front axle.

yea but with a 4 banger do you realy need longfields, weigh yer options first, how hard are you gonna wheel, where are ya gonna wheel and do you realy think its gonna make a differance the way you drive

all i know is my brother broke two longs, and we do both have that lead foot issue. i gotta clean out the garage and see if there is gonna be enough room in there to do a tear down first, prolly doing that this weekend, along with putting camping away.

it really isn't an issue of how big the engine is Dave. Driving habits, a front locker, the amount of grip offered by the tire and the torque provided by the transfer cases are a much bigger piece of the puzzle.
