probably another fully built 22re, suspension and frame are built around the 22re.  i think it would be cool as hell to have a 300hp 22re.  bored, stroked, port and polished, valve job, deck the block, cam, cam gear, header, and best of all, i can ditch all that shitty smog :pokinit: and lose all the freakin' vacuum lines. . . .hell ya.  and best of all, it will bolt in in 2 hours.

do all that for $4000+ grand and maybe make 160 hp or throw in a stock 3rz that makes the same way smoother and reliable for half the price.  22re's are cool motors and all but I would never dump money into one again with hopes of making real  power.  There is nobody making 300hp out of a 22series motor and if there is it is turbo and possible nitrous also

pulled the head. . . freakin' pregnant dog, but its off.  pulled the rockers, flipped the head upside down and poured some solvent into each "bowl" and 1-2-4 held all the solvent for several minutes, where 3 emptied through the intake valve in about 3 seconds.  i already bought a new valve and head gasket.  monday after work im staying late and one of the guys is going to help me relap the valve seat and make sure the guide it tits and install the new guide and make sure everything is kosher.  after that im going to reinstall the head and intake and exhaust and all and im ditching ALL the smog :pokinit:.  i have 50 vacuum lines sitting on the floor all i want it a MAP sensor and vacuum for the brakes.  is there anything else that needs to be hooked up?

no reason to disconnect the EGR...it mainly lowers combustion temps. I don't feel like going back through the thread. this thing is injected, right?

EGR, PS idle up, AC idle up. I'd keep the canister as well, but that don't matter much. IIRC, the rest of it can go.

UPDATE PICS....

Pretty much a lot of work has been done since the last time he posted. Got it on all 4s on its own weight...NOT on bumpstops. Looks sick and has a lot of flex. Callen will probably fill in the details later. Theyre kinda crappy cell pics but theyre pics

damn.. . . .thats a cool truck

had a crew today and got some stuff done on the front.  coilovers are in, done, and look sick.  im running 200/200 on the springs right now, i might look for some 300 for the bottom, its super soft with lots of body roll, but i like the way it feels.

i guess its been a while since posted last.  the motor is back together, and runs tits again, the rad is in and plummed, all the brakes are done, all the hydro stuff is done, the ram mount turned out awesome, all wiring is done, also i picked up a new grill and rear window.  all thats left is to trim up the skid plate for the flatbelly, install the battery for good, and run some fender bars and hood bars and front clip stuff next weekend.  ill be getting the front DL built next week hopefully.

there are plenty of little things that i need to button up, but im pretty sure i can have this thing wheeling in a week.

having the coilovers in the front really makes me realize how shitty the rear rides. . . .and ive only driven it about 5 miles altogether.
