you know anyone with a tig welder that could weld that pin on. then you could use it JUST as a spare in case a situation happens like that again. bad idea?

well he also sells the 25mm kit for that.... quite a bit over-priced in my opinion but its an option

Why an FJ 80?

they are about 6" wider so i wont have to run spacers. the birfs are 70% stronger i think. and i can build it way cheaper than a dana 60 and also keep it toyota.

Buddys got a fj 80 front thats pretty beef and broke a birf with 39 krawlers on a super light sami.  Go 30 spline right off the bat.  :twocents:

toyotanner

i would just stick with what you have til you have all the parts to swap in the fj80 axle otherwise who knows how long it would be down

Hey man you might try giving Luke Porter a call at 4x4 Labs in Grass Valley, he might know where some Hilux body parts might be. Can't guarantee it but he usually finds all kinds of crazy stuff.

yup. heres the story

ended up getting the axle for $185. i told the guy i wanted the entire axle minus the third, knuckles and everything. well aparently to him an axle is an inner so he thought i said i wanted an inner and a knuckle. after over 2hours of pulling the axle out and pulling it apart to get the third out, i load everything in the back of my pick up and he comes over and asks me what the hell is all that. i said its everything but the diff, thats what we agreed on. after a bunch of going back and fourth he got all pissed off and went in his office. so i got a smoken deal and am never going back there again

pulled my old axle out and got it all torn down. ordered some ballistic brackets, so a soon as those get here the axle will get mounted. right now i think im gonna start my hydro ram mount. the worse part about going to the fj80 axle is the steering arms for it are $750, but they are bullet proof.
